Device and method embodiments for a rotation powered vehicle are described, the rotation powered vehicle being capable of converting a rotational motion of a platform pivotally secured to the rotation powered vehicle in either of two angular directions into a linear motion of the rotation powered vehicle in a single linear direction for the purposes of conveyance. In some cases, the angular motion of the platform may be slight when compared to the resultant linear powered stroke of the rotation powered vehicle.

A multi-wheel truck that minimizes wheel interactions with discontinuous and uneven surfaces. The truck provides a suspension system that absorbs impact force caused by uneven surfaces and a unique attack angle that allows obstacles to be traversed when approached from a wide range of angles.

An upper through hole is formed in a support base, a lower end of the upper through hole being opened in an upper-side sliding contact surface of the support base, the upper through hole being configured to receive insertion of an upper portion of a pivot shaft; a lower through hole is formed in a rockable section, the lower through hole and the upper through hole being provided on the same axis, an upper end of the lower through hole being opened in contact with the upper-side sliding contact surface, the lower through hole being configured to receive insertion of a lower portion of the pivot shaft; an enlarged diameter hole section is provided in the lower through hole, the enlarged diameter hole section being configured to accommodate a needle bearing having a cylindrical shape, the needle bearing being fit to an outer side of at least a lower shaft portion of the pivot shaft; and the needle bearing having the cylindrical shape bears the lower shaft portion of the pivot shaft.

Improved skateboards and methods of obtaining or providing skateboards with improved trucks. Trucks have two axles or axes, two primary wheels, and two secondary wheels, and skateboards have eight wheels, four in front and four at the rear portion of the skateboard. The four primary wheels support most or all of the weight of the skateboard when the skateboard is on a flat surface, and the two secondary wheels support the weight of one portion of the skateboard (e.g., front or rear) when the primary wheels cross a crack (e.g., a sidewalk contraction joint). In various embodiments, the secondary wheels are located outboard of the primary wheels. Further, in a number of embodiments, the axis of rotation or axle of the primary wheels remains parallel to that of the secondary wheels, whether the skateboard is going straight or turning.

A modular motorized wheel system is provided for replacing a conventional wheel of a conventional skateboard. The wheel is retained on the axle of the skateboard by an end nut removably attachable to the outside end of the axle. The system includes a motor shaft having an axial bore therethrough. The bore is sized to make the motor shaft concentrically and removably mountable on the axle. The motor shaft has an exterior end formed in an open cylindrical shape, the exterior end including an axially displaced shoulder sized to receive and abut the end nut, by which the motor shaft is secured on the axle. A truck having configured to couple with a deck. The truck including a base and a hanger. The hanger disposed within a hanger aperture of the base. The hanger rotatably coupled with the base by a pivot assembly. The rotation of the hanger with respect to the base controlled by a compression assembly.

A personal transport vehicle is provided, which includes a front wheel assembly having a front rim and a front tire seated on the front rim, and a rear wheel assembly having a rear rim and a rear tire seated on the rear rim. The vehicle also includes a motor disposed within the rear rim of the rear wheel assembly and coupled to a mount of the rear rim, where the motor is configured to rotate the rear tire to cause movement of the personal transport vehicle. The vehicle further includes a frame coupled to the front wheel assembly and to the motor disposed within the rear wheel assembly, and a steering arm coupled to the front wheel assembly within the front rim for controlling movement of the front tire for steering the personal transport vehicle.

A truck includes a base plate, a hanger, a kingpin, and a bushing assembly. The base plate includes a coupling portion and a contact portion. The kingpin is disposed within a portion of the hanger to rotatably couple the hanger to the base plate. The bushing assembly includes at least one bushing disposed in a recess of the contact portion and in contact with the hanger. The bushing assembly including a bushing adjustment coupled to at least one of the base plate or the hanger and configured to selectively engage the at least one bushing to transition the bushing assembly between a first configuration in which the at least one bushing exerts a first force in response to rotation of the hanger and a second configuration in which the at least one bushing exerts a second force different from the first force in response to rotation of the hanger.

A modular skateboard assembly for enabling a user to employ a pair of skateboards in the convention of a skateboard or roller skates includes a pair of skateboards which each includes a pair of rollers that roll along a support surface. Each of the skateboards is attachable to the other skateboard such that the pair of skateboards extends along a common axis thereby facilitating the pair of skateboards to be employed in the common convention of skateboards. Furthermore, each of the skateboards is detachable from the other skateboard thereby enabling the pair of skateboards to be employed in the common convention of roller skates. Each of the skateboards includes a pair of foot restraints to restrain the user's feet.

Various implementations include a skateboard truck including a baseplate, a hanger, and a kingpin. The baseplate defines has a mounting surface. The hanger includes a main portion, a pivot pin, a first branch, and a second branch. The pivot pin is disposed within a pivot cup of the baseplate. The kingpin is disposed within openings in the baseplate and hanger. The branches each have curved longitudinal axes, a first portion coupled to the main portion, and a middle portion coupling the first and second portions. The second portion of each of the branches defines an axle opening. The first portion extends from the main portion toward the middle portion in a direction away from a mounting surface plane. The second portion extends from the middle portion in a direction toward the mounting surface plane. The first portions are closer to each other than the second portions are to each other.
