A braking system having a rotating element that rotates about an axis, and a braking device for braking the rotating element. The braking device has a first braking element that is movable between a rest position and a braking position and has an annular braking surface which is arranged concentrically with respect to the axis and has a brake disc which is co-rotationally connected to the rotating element and has first and second frictional surfaces. The annular braking surface of the first braking element is arranged at a distance from the brake disc in the rest position, and is in contact with the first frictional surface thereof in the braking position. A second braking element is arranged such that in the braking position the first braking element presses the brake disc against the second braking element such that the second braking element is in contact with the second frictional surface.

The present invention relates to a drifting electric scooter and, more specifically, to a drifting electric scooter, wherein: a sensor unit is installed at a controller and the movement of a scooter is controlled according to the moving direction and angle of the controller, and thus a short control section for acceleration and stopping of a conventional electric scooter is widened, so that the problems, such as abrupt start and abrupt stop, of the conventional electric scooter can be solved; the drifting electric scooter allows riders to more precisely control the speed and enjoy riding such that the riders can easily and safely control acceleration and stopping by simple upward/downward movement of the controller; a human body detection sensor is attached to a handle portion of the controller, and thus the scooter stops to prevent malfunction of the scooter when the controller is separated from a user's hand, so that safety is ensured and thus safe riding is possible; and multiple switches for selecting various riding modes are installed at the controller, so that more pleasant and interesting riding than in conventional scooter riding is possible.

A skateboard axle assembly is described, having a connection plate for mounting the axle assembly to a skateboard deck and a wheel axle. The wheel axle has two ends, to each of which a wheel can be mounted. The wheel axle is movably coupled to the connection plate by two articulated arms. The connecter clip is attachable to one of the hookable portions. The system includes a stopper base. The stopper base includes a flat pad including a flat pad with a pair of grooves configured to hold each pair of skateboard wheels in a fixed position.

Described herein are systems and apparatuses for securing and locking a battery or battery enclosure to a vehicle. In general, a vehicle may include a planar body mounted to any number of wheels, tracks, wings or flotation devices. In a preferred embodiment, the security device comprises a security plate and a locking pin system is used to secure the battery to any vehicle. The security plate is positioned between the fastener heads and the battery enclosure and has an opening for the locking pin to slide through. Once the pin is inserted into security plate the pin lock secures the pin in place and prevents removal of the battery or battery enclosure from the vehicle.

An elongated platform slot is disposed within a respective lateral portion of a platform assembly, and is configured such that it is substantially opposed to the chassis slot. The platform assembly is pivotally secured to the chassis assembly thereby allowing for rotation through a platform rotation angle of the platform assembly with respect to the chassis assembly about a rotation axis. The rotation of the platform assembly results in an increase or decrease of a variable slot height which is measured between the chassis slot and the platform slot. A cart assembly is disposed between the chassis assembly and the platform assembly, and is operatively coupled to the chassis slot and to the platform slot.

Substantially rigid booms, one directed to the front and one directed to the rear, are provided at the front and rear ends of the board deck, respectively. A support arm pointing in the direction of the central axis of the board deck is rigidly fastened to each boom. The support arms are pivotable on the two sides about a pivot axis inclined in the direction of travel by 40° to 50° relative to the plane of the board deck. The axle of a single castor is mounted rotatably in or on each hub, with the pivot joint inside the castor.

A skateboard truck that is adjusted for different amounts of torsional stiffness. The axle of the truck is tensioned to change the torsional stiffness of the truck. The truck includes a fork shaped structural arm having tongs on the distal end. The ends of the tongs include mounting for the axle which supports the wheels. The tension in the axle determines the amount of torsional stiffness. Additionally, the distance between the wheels is adjustable to affect the torsional stiffness.
