A motor assembly for a transport vehicle (such as a skateboard) having at least one wheel for rotating about a shaft having an end distal to the wheel and an end proximal to the wheel, the motor assembly comprising a stator fixed to the shaft, and a motor bell surrounding the shaft at the location of the stator, wherein the motor bell comprises a first end being adapted to be attached to the wheel for transferring rotational movement of the motor bell to the wheel, and a second end surrounding the shaft at the location of the end distal to the wheel, wherein the second end of the motor bell is a free end permitting removal of the motor bell during removal of the wheel. The motor bell being adapted to permit airflow therethrough for cooling of the motor assembly.

Skateboard modular electric powertrain

A modular motorized wheel system is provided for replacing a conventional wheel of a conventional skateboard. The wheel is retained on the axle of the skateboard by an end nut removably attachable to the outside end of the axle. The system includes a motor shaft having an axial bore therethrough. The bore is sized to make the motor shaft concentrically and removably mountable on the axle. The motor shaft has an exterior end formed in an open cylindrical shape, the exterior end including an axially displaced shoulder sized to receive and abut the end nut, by which the motor shaft is secured on the axle. Other embodiments are provided.

A skateboard includes a deck, at least a front wheel set and a rear wheel set. The front wheel set, which is arranged at a bottom of the deck at a position close to a front end thereof, includes at least one rigid and rotatable front wheel frame and at least two front wheels. The rear wheel set, which is arranged at a bottom of the deck at a position close to the rear end thereof, includes at least one rigid and non-rotatable rear wheel frame and at least two rear wheels. The outer side of the wheel is circular or arc-shaped. The structure of the skateboard allows the user to change a center of gravity and to lift the sides of the board with foot, so as to only rely on the outer arc of the left or right front and rear wheels to slide, while the rotatable front wheel frame in the left or right side may still be utilized for rotating in the forward direction, which allows a skateboard experience of forward or changing the travelling direction.

Skateboard and control method thereof

The disclosure relates to a skateboard and control method thereof. A skateboard deck is fixed on an axle of the skateboard, and a first sensor group and a second sensor group are sequentially arranged on the skateboard deck in a width direction. The method includes acquiring a first pressure value of the first sensor group and a second pressure value of the second sensor group; controlling the skateboard to turn to a first direction when the first pressure value is greater than the second pressure value and a difference value between the first pressure value and the second pressure value is greater than a first threshold, and controlling the skateboard to turn to a second direction when the second pressure value is greater than the first pressure value and a difference value between the second pressure value and the first pressure value is greater than a second threshold.
