Photomultiplier Tube and Method of Making It
Disclosed herein is a photomultiplier tube (PMT) comprising: an electron ejector configured for emitting primary electrons in response to an incident photon; a detector configured for collecting electrons and providing an output signal representative of the incident photon; and a series of electrodes between the electron ejector and the detector, wherein each of the electrodes is configured for emitting secondary electrons in response to incident electrons, and each of the electrodes includes a bi-metal arc-shaped sheet.
GLASS COMPOSITION RESISTANT TO ION BOMBARDMENT, CLADDING GLASS OF MICROCHANNEL PLATE, MICROCHANNEL PLATE AND PREPARING METHOD THEREOF
The present invention relates to the field of special glass materials and preparation, in particular to a glass composition resistant to ion bombardment, a cladding glass of microchannel plate, a microchannel plate and a preparing method thereof. The coordination between the components and the adjustment of the dosage, in particular, oxides with high bond energy containing scandium and/or strontium and/or zirconium and/or molybdenum, can be introduced into the glass material, so as to improve the surface binding energy (SBE), thereby improving the ion bombardment resistance of the glass material and significantly prolonging the working life of the microchannel plate during detecting high-energy ions directly, while meeting other necessary properties such as good anti-crystallization, good acid and alkali resistance, appropriate softening temperature, thermal expansion coefficient, and bulk resistance, etc.

Detectors and methods of using them
Certain embodiments described herein are directed to detectors and systems using them. In some examples, the detector can include a plurality of dynodes, in which one or more of the dynodes are coupled to an electrometer. In some instances, an analog signal from a non-saturated dynode is measured and cross-calibrated with a pulse count signal to extend the dynamic range of the detector.

Electron Multiplier Having Improved Voltage Stabilisation
The present invention relates to electron multipliers as used in ion detection apparatus such as mass spectrometers. The multiplier comprises a voltage stabilizing component or system, and is configured to reduce a negative effect of voltage fluctuations within and/or electromagnetic radiation emitted by the voltage stabilizing component or system during operation on an output signal of the electron multiplier. The multiplier may be configured so as to decouple the voltage fluctuations within and/or the electromagnetic radiation emitted by the voltage stabilizing component or system from its output signal.
