SYSTEMS FOR INTEGRATED DECOMPOSITION AND SCANNING OF A SEMICONDUCTING WAFER
Systems and methods are described for integrated decomposition and scanning of a semiconducting wafer, where a single chamber is utilized for decomposition and scanning of the wafer of interest.
Spray chamber, sample atomization and introduction device, analysis device, and method of analyzing component in sample
Provided is a spray chamber including a sample introduction port portion into which a gas flow containing sample droplets that have been atomized by a nebulizer is introduced, a discharge port portion that discharges at least a part of the gas flow introduced into the sample introduction port portion to the outside, and a flow passage tube portion that has the sample introduction port portion on one end portion thereof and the discharge port portion on the other end portion thereof and serves as a flow passage for the introduced gas flow, wherein the flow passage tube portion includes a first tube portion having the discharge port portion on one end portion thereof and a second tube portion having the sample introduction port portion on one end portion thereof, the spray chamber includes a double tube portion.
Analysis apparatus and analysis method
An analysis apparatus includes a stage on which an analysis sample as an analysis target and a first adjustment sample used for adjusting a focus are provided. A laser generation unit generates a laser beam for vaporizing the analysis sample or the first adjustment sample by irradiating the sample with the laser beam. A detection unit detects a signal intensity of an element of the analysis sample or the first adjustment sample vaporized by irradiation with the laser beam. A controller determines a focus position of the laser beam with respect to a front surface position of the first adjustment sample based on the signal intensity of the first adjustment sample, and performs a control such that the focus position of the laser beam corresponds with a front surface of the analysis sample.
LASER ABLATION SPECTROMETRY APPARATUS
Apparatus for laser induced ablation spectroscopy (LIBS) is disclosed. An apparatus can have a computer, a pulsed laser and a lightguide fiber bundle that is subdivided into branches. One branch can convey a first portion of the light to a first optical spectrometer and a different branch can convey a second portion of the light to another optical spectrometer. The first spectrometer can be relatively wideband to analyze a relative wide spectral segment and the other spectrometer can be high dispersion to measure minor concentrations. The apparatus can further comprise an unbranched lightguide fiber bundle to provide more light to a low sensitivity spectrometer. The apparatus can include an inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer ICP-MS and a computer instructions operable to provide normalized LIBS/ICP-MS composition analyses.
Rapid droplet introduction interface (RDII) for mass spectrometry
A system for the mass spectrometry analysis of an analyte includes a droplet ejection device, a spray head comprising a spray tip for ejecting the solvent as a spray, and a solvent delivery conduit for delivering solvent to the spray tip. The spray head includes a droplet inlet opening communicating with the surrounding atmosphere for receiving liquid droplets comprising the analyte. The droplet ejection device selectively ejects a liquid analyte droplet comprising the analyte through a surrounding atmosphere and the droplet inlet opening into a solvent flowing through the solvent delivery conduit. A method for the mass spectrometry analysis of an analyte is also disclosed.
Verification methods and agronomic enhancements for carbon removal based on enhanced rock weathering
The present disclosure relates to methods of verifying enhanced rock weathering using immobile trace elements found within a mineral amendment. Further disclosed are mineral amendments that enable enhanced rock weathering.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ENHANCED MASS SPECTROMETRY IMAGING
Various embodiments are described herein for a system and a method for identifying a region of interest in tissue using mass spectrometry. An agent administration component can be provided to administer an exogenous agent to the tissue. A sampling unit can also be provided to acquire a sample from the tissue. The sample can then be provided to a high sensitivity analysis platform, such as a mass analyzer, to analyze the sample and determine a distribution of the exogenous agent or a by-product of the exogenous agent within the tissue based on the analysis. The analysis platform can then identify the region of interest based on the distribution of the exogenous agent or the distribution of the by-product.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ANALYSING VOLATILE ORGANIC COMPOUNDS (VOC) BY LOW-TEMPERATURE PLASMA AND MASS SPECTROMETRY (LTP-MS)
A system and method for analyzing volatile organic compounds (VOCs) adsorbed on an adsorbent membrane, by low-temperature plasma and mass spectrometry (LTP-MS). The system includes a receptacle for receiving the adsorbent membrane, a low-temperature plasma ionizer configured to emit a plasma stream in a plasma emission direction, thereby ionizing the VOCs adsorbed by the membrane and forming a VOC-laden ionized gas, and a mass spectrometer for analyzing the ionized VOCs.
MULTI-MODAL IONIZATION FOR MASS SPECTROMETRY
Techniques and systems for multi-modal ionization for mass spectrometry are provided. In some embodiments, a method may comprise: receiving an analyte; ionizing some molecules of the analyte using a first ionization method to produce first ions; ionizing other molecules of the analyte using a second ionization method to produce second ions; and providing the first and second ions to a mass analyzer.
Devices and systems including a boost device
A device for mass spectroscopy comprising a chamber configured to provide an atomization source, a boost device configured to provide radio frequency energy to the chamber, and a mass analyzer in fluid communication with the chamber and configured to separate species based on mass-to-charge ratios is disclosed. In certain examples, a boost device may be used with a flame or plasma to provide additional energy to a flame or plasma to enhance desolvation, atomization, and/or ionization.
