UPPER AND SHOE
An upper includes an upper main body that covers an instep of a foot. The upper main body includes: a first portion including a plurality of linear bodies and formed by one layer; and a bag-shaped second portion formed by two layers in which some of the plurality of linear bodies constituting the first portion serve as one layer and the rest of the plurality of linear bodies serves as another layer. Inside the second portion, a cushioning material is put. The second portion protrudes toward a foot of a wearer with respect to the first portion.
ARTICLES WITH STRUCTURES FORMED FROM SEQUINS
Hot melt sequins and methods of applying these sequins are disclosed. The sequins may be stitched to a layer of an article in a pattern to form a relatively rigid structure. The sequins may be made of a hotmelt material and melted to form a continuous structure. The sequins may be located along a lacing region and used as eyelets to secure laces.
FOOTWEAR UPPER WITH MAGNETIC HOLD OPEN FOR FOOT ENTRY
An article of footwear may include a sole structure and an upper. The upper may include a first section and a second section and may define a foot-receiving cavity over the sole structure. The first section may be fixed to the sole structure, and the second section may articulate relative to the first section between an access position and a use position, the foot-receiving cavity being more exposed when the second section is in the access position. A magnetic coupling includes a first coupling member that may be operatively secured to the second section of the upper and a second coupling member may be operatively secured to the sole structure and positioned so that the first coupling member couples with the second coupling member by magnetic force when the second section is in the access position.
AUTOMATIC STITCHING OF FOOTWEAR PARTS
A method and a system for manufacturing footwear. The footwear including at least two footwear parts. The footwear parts are at least partly connected together by stitching for forming at least part of an upper part of the footwear. The method includes providing a base layer and providing the at least two footwear parts. The at least two footwear parts are positioned on the base layer. The at least two footwear parts are fixated on the base layer in respective relative positions corresponding to predefined connected positions. The at least two footwear parts are connected with each other by an automated stitching. The at least two footwear parts in connected form to provide the footwear.
FOOTWEAR WITH DUAL REAR CLOSURE ARRANGEMENT
An item of footwear includes an upper and a pair of closure mechanisms. The upper includes a shaft and a backstay spaced apart from the shaft to define a pair of gaps. The pair of closure mechanisms selectively couple the backstay to the shaft, and each include at least one coupler and at least one receiver. The coupler is coupled to one of the shaft and the backstay, and the receiver is coupled to the other of the shaft and the backstay. When the receiver is coupled to the coupler, the backstay is coupled to the shaft to restrict movement of the backstay relative to the shaft, and when the receiver is decoupled from the coupler, the pair of closure mechanisms permit movement of the backstay relative to the shaft.
RAPID-ENTRY FOOTWEAR HAVING A STABILIZER AND AN ELASTIC ELEMENT
A rapid-entry shoe having an elastic element to enlarge a foot opening of the rapid-entry shoe and also having a stabilizer to prevent a rear portion of the rapid-entry shoe from collapsing downward.
SHOE TONGUE STRUCTURE AND SHOE
A shoe tongue structure includes a first shoe tongue and a second shoe tongue arranged such as to cover an opening of an upper extending frontward from a foot insertion part. The first shoe tongue includes a first front end fixed to an edge of the opening and extends rearward from the first front end toward the lateral side of the foot insertion part. The second shoe tongue includes a second front end fixed to an edge of the opening and extends rearward from the second front end toward the medial side of the foot insertion part. The first front end is positioned on the medial side with respect to the second front end.
Functional apertures for manufacturing registration
An article of footwear formed from a flat pattern to include a side seam and/or utilizing aperture alignment of multiple flat pattern pieces is disclosed. In aspects, an article of footwear, such as an upper, is formed from a flat pattern and modified into a dimensional article of footwear that includes a side closing. The side closing may comprise adjoined side edges of the flat pattern upper that are secured to each other with a securing element to maintain the dimensional article of footwear in its shape. Alignment of the parts may be provided through at least partial alignment of apertures in the flat pattern upper and apertures in a securing element and/or other flat pattern pieces, including using multi-purpose apertures, allowing streamlined processing and manufacturing of footwear.
Multilayered materials with color changing properties
Described are articles of wear including with a material with color changing properties. The material includes at least one elastic portion having an unstretched colored appearance and a stretched colored appearance. The material also includes at least one fixed portion having the stretched colored appearance regardless of a magnitude of an external force applied to the at least one fixed portion.
Structurally-colored articles and methods for making and using structurally-colored articles
As described above, one or more aspects of the present disclosure provide articles having structural color, and methods of making articles having structural color. The present disclosure provides for articles that exhibit structural colors through the use of an optical element, where structural colors are visible colors produced, at least in part, through optical effects. The optical element (e.g., a single layer reflector, a single layer filter, a multilayer reflector or a multilayer filter) can include the reflective layer(s), constituent layers, and an optional textured surface. The optical element has a minimum percent reflectance in a wavelength range within the wavelength range of about 380 to 625 nanometers. The optical element imparts a structural color that corresponds substantially to the range of wavelength range.
