A footwear includes an upper and an outsole. The upper includes an outer layer and a membrane. The membrane is waterproof and breathable and has a lower end. The outer layer has a lower end. The lower end of the membrane is attached to an insole around the circumference of the insole. The membrane is at least partly attached to the outer layer by means of a toe cap and/or a heel cap adhering to both the membrane and the outer layer. The toe cap is positioned between the outer layer and the membrane of the upper in a toe end of the footwear, and/or the heel cap is positioned between the outer layer and the membrane of the upper in a heel end of the footwear.

A knitted component for an article of footwear comprises a knit element and a tongue integrally knitted with the knit element. The knit element includes a lateral throat portion overlapping a lateral edge of the tongue and a medial throat portion overlapping a medial edge of the tongue. The lateral throat portion and the tongue are joined by a first knit structure, and the medial throat portion and the tongue are joined by a second knit structure. The first and second knit structures each include one or more courses having a plurality of knit stitches. Each knit structure may also span multiple adjacent courses. A method of manufacturing the knitted component is also described herein.

Described are shoes, in particular a sports shoe, wherein at least a portion of an upper of the shoe includes a first layer and a functional second layer, wherein the functional second layer is directly printed onto the first layer.

A shoe includes an upper and a sole. The upper includes an outer layer having a first knitwear and an inner layer having a second knitwear. The first knitwear differs from the second knitwear with regard to at least one of a yarn used, a stitch structure, an alignment, and a form.

An article of footwear including a sole system, including an upper and the sole system. The sole system includes a knitted component incorporating a one-piece knit outsole. The knit outsole has a ground-facing side, a top side, an inlaid tensile element, and a ground-engaging cleat member protruding from the ground-facing side of the knit outsole. A cycling shoe comprises a sole defining an undersurface of the cycling shoe, the sole having connection holes configured for connection of a pedal cleat to the sole. An upper is connected to the sole and defining with the sole a foot-receiving cavity. An expansion zone is located in a lateral or medial subportion of a metatarsal portion and/or toe portion of the cycling shoe and configured to be opposite a portion of at least a fifth metatarsal of a wearer of the cycling shoe, the expansion zone being entirely surrounded by a window of structural upper paneling and defined by at least one panel having a greater stretching characteristics than the structural upper paneling of the window.

An improved article of footwear includes a sole structure and an upper. The upper is coupled to the sole structure and is configured to receive at least a portion of a human foot. The upper further includes a toebox, a medial quarter, a lateral quarter, a heel cup. The upper also includes a three dimensional auxetic structure at least partially formed within the medial quarter, lateral quarter, and heel cup of the upper. The three dimensional auxetic structure defines a primary expansion direction, a secondary expansion direction, and a tertiary expansion direction. The secondary expansion direction is transverse to the primary expansion direction. The tertiary expansion direction is normal to the plane defined by the primary expansion direction and the secondary expansion direction. Furthermore, the upper of the article of footwear is constructed via a thermoforming process.
