An RF fluorescent lamp, comprising a bulbous vitreous portion of the RF fluorescent lamp comprising a vitreous envelope filled with a working gas mixture, a power coupler to induce an alternating electric field within the vitreous envelope, an electronic ballast, and a mercury amalgam accommodating structure mounted within the lamp envelope and adapted to absorb power from the electric field to rapidly heat and vaporize an amalgam of mercury to rapidly illuminate the lamp envelope during a turn-on phase of the RF fluorescent lamp, wherein the structure is comprised of a substrate material coated with a mixture of indium and gold.
Apparatus, system, and methods for using human energy in collecting, transporting, and purifying water
Apparatuses, systems, and methods for collecting, transporting, and purifying water using human energy from transport. A barrel shaped water impermeable container made of material comprising an ultraviolet (UV) light stabilized polymer that can be pushed or rolled. The container has one or more ports with removable filters to remove pre-sediment prior to transport and post-sediment after transport. A translucent water impermeable casing comprising an electrical box having at least two removable and replaceable UV lights, connected to copper coils with rotating magnets inside the coil generate power to light the ultraviolet lights and purify water in the container. Three or more removable proportionally spaced carbon fin cartridges rotate about a container closed end axis when the container is pushed or pulled to provide additional purification. Carbon fin cartridges can have a polylactic acid shell wrapped in liquid permeable mesh shell and evenly spaced holes packed with carbon.
Electrodeless gas discharge lamps and methods of making the same
In some embodiments, an electrodeless lamp may be provided. The lamp may include an outer tube and an inner tube. The inner tube may be sealed to the outer tube to define a sealed space in which a gas may be contained. The gas may be configured to emit electromagnetic radiation when an electromagnetic field is applied thereto.
Burst-mode for low power operation of RF fluorescent lamps
An RF fluorescent lamp comprising an electric ballast comprising an inverter circuit operating at a first frequency that provides the voltage and current with reference to local ground to a switching node connected to a first end of a winding of a power coupler, a timing circuit operating at a second frequency equal to or less than half the first frequency, and an enable circuit activated by the timing circuit that enables and disables the inverter circuit.

LAMP COMPRISING MULTIPLE COMPONENT DESIGNS AND CONSTRUCTIONS
The present invention provides a bulb (100, 110, 120, 130, 140, 140) an excitation chamber (200, 210, 220, 230, 230) a ferrite core (300, 310, 310), a spool (400, 410); an assembly or subassembly of such components, and a lamp (100, 1100, 1200, 1300, 1400, 1500, 1600, 1600, 1600, 1700, 1800) for producing electromagnetic radiation, such as in the light spectrum, UV or IR.
Inductively coupled dielectric barrier discharge lamp
A dielectric barrier discharge lamp assembly for a fluid treatment system. The lamp assembly can include an inductive secondary, first and second electrodes coupled to the inductive secondary, and a lamp including a dielectric barrier interposed between the first and second electrodes. The dielectric barrier can define a discharge chamber including a discharge gas, and one of the first and second electrodes can extend within the discharge chamber. The inductive secondary can be adapted to receive power from a nearby inductive primary to promote a dielectric barrier discharge in the discharge chamber. The resulting dielectric barrier discharge can generate ultraviolet light for the treatment of air or water, or for other applications.
