The sole structure is attached to the upper and includes a spike plate. The spike plate has an anterior portion, a posterior portion, a plurality of spikes, and a plurality of rails. The spikes extend in an inferior direction from the anterior portion of the spike plate and are configured for engaging a track surface. The rails extend in a superior direction from the anterior portion of the spike plate and extend over an exterior surface of the toe box portion of the upper, and the rails comprise longitudinal axes that extend in a superior/inferior direction.

The invention discloses safety toe caps made from nano composite material and a preparation method of the nano composite safety toe cap. The toe caps are made from multi-layers of laminated glass fiber cloth coated with resin paste, wherein the percentage ratio of the resin paste to the glass fiber cloth is as follows: the resin paste accounts for 30-45%, the glass fiber cloth accounts for 55-70%, and the total sum is 100%; the resin paste comprises the following components in percentage by mass: 30-50% of thermosetting resin, 0.1-5% of modified carbon nanotubes, 10-30% of modified nitrile rubber, 5-25% of polyurethaneacrylate, 1-5% of prepolymerized silane oligomer, 0.5-2% of a high-temperature initiator such as tert-Butyl peroxybenzoate, 1-2% of a medium-temperature initiator such as tert-Butyl peroxy-2-ethylhexanoate, 5-20% of a shrinkage-reduction additive, 1-10% of thickener A, 1-3% of thickener B and 2-5% of inner demolding agent. The safety toe caps made from the nano composite material is are high in pressure resistance and impact resistance, light in weight and thin in wall thickness.

An article of footwear may include an upper and a sole structure secured to the upper. The upper has a knitted component formed of unitary knit construction that includes at least one gore region located in a heel region of the article of footwear. The gore region provides a contoured configuration to the knitted component. In a method of manufacturing, a knitted component may include a first gore region and a plurality of second gore regions, with the first gore region being located in a heel area of the article of footwear and the second gore regions being located adjacent to the sole structure.
PROTECTION DEVICES FOR USE IN SHOES OR OTHER PRODUCTS
A variety of devices for protecting a user's foot from injury are disclosed. In one instance, the device is an external metatarsal protection device for a shoe or boot, having a sole with a first surface for supporting a wearer's foot and a second surface for contacting a ground area, an upper affixed to the sole, and an integral toe cap. An interior surface of the upper and the first surface of the sole define a receptacle for receiving the wearer's foot. The external protection device is incorporated along an exterior surface of the upper and is positioned to protect at least a metatarsal region of the wearer's foot. In an instance, the external protection device has injection-molded first and second layers of material, with the cushioning elements formed on a surface of the first layer and a plurality of grooves defined on a surface of the second layer.
Skate
A skate (e.g., an ice skate) for a user (e.g., a hockey player). The skate comprises a skate boot for receiving a foot of the user and a skating device (e.g., a blade and a blade holder) disposed beneath the skate boot to engage a skating surface. The skate boot may be designed to better fit the user's foot and/or enhance skating performance of the user, such as by being shaped in accordance with anatomy of toes of the user's foot and/or enhancing integrity of the skate boot.

FOOTWEAR WITH JOINTED SOLE STRUCTURE FOR EASE OF ACCESS
An article of footwear includes a sole structure that has a front midsole component and a rear midsole component. A connecting member connects the front midsole component to the rear midsole component. The connecting member defines a groove at a lower side of the sole structure between the front midsole component and the rear midsole component. The front midsole component and the rear midsole component are pivotable relative to one another at the groove between a use position and an access position. Confronting surfaces of the connecting member at the groove are closer to one another in the access position than in the use position so that the groove is relatively open in the use position, and the groove is relatively closed in the access position.
Shoe insert
One or more embodiments of a shoe insert are disclosed. A shoe insert includes a body sized and arranged to fit in the toe box of a shoe while not preventing a foot of a wearer from being inserted into the toe box of the shoe if the body is inserted in the toe box of the shoe. The body may include a top portion and side portions. The top portion may extend primarily horizontally. The side portions may extend primarily vertically. The side portions may include a left side portion and a right side portion with the top portion between the left side portion and the right side portion.
