CHARGED PARTICLE BEAM DEVICE
A charged particle beam device includes a plurality of detectors configured to detect one or more signal charged particle beams caused by irradiation on a sample with one or more primary charged particle beams, and a control system. The control system is configured to measure an intensity distribution of the one or more signal charged particle beams detected by the plurality of detectors, and correct the intensity distribution by using a correction function. The control system is configured to generate an image based on the corrected intensity distribution.
MASS AIRFLOW SENSOR AND HYDROCARBON TRAP COMBINATION
A combined mass airflow sensor and hydrocarbon trap is provided for absorbing evaporative hydrocarbon emissions from an air intake duct of an internal combustion engine. The combined mass airflow sensor and hydrocarbon trap comprises a duct that supports a hydrocarbon absorbing sheet in an unfolded configuration within a housing. The duct communicates an airstream from an air filter to the air intake duct during operation of the internal combustion engine. An opening in the housing receives a mass airflow sensor into the duct, such that the mass airflow sensor is disposed within the airstream. Guide vanes extending across the duct reduce air turbulence within the airstream passing by the mass airflow sensor. Ports disposed along the duct allow the evaporative hydrocarbon emissions to be drawn into the interior and arrested by the hydrocarbon absorbing sheet when the internal combustion engine is not operating.
SELF-REFERENCING HEALTH MONITORING SYSTEM FOR MULTI-BEAM SEM TOOLS
Systems and methods for image enhancement are disclosed. A method for enhancing an image may include receiving records of a performance metric for beams of the multi-beam system in an imaging process, each record associated with a beam. The method may also include determining whether an abnormality of a beam occurs based on a baseline value determined using a portion of the records. The method may further include providing an abnormality indication in response to the determination that the abnormality has occurred.
Method for determining a beamlet position and method for determining a distance between two beamlets in a multi-beamlet exposure apparatus
The invention relates to a method for determining a beamlet position in a charged particle multi-beamlet exposure apparatus. The apparatus is provided with a sensor comprising a conversion clement for converting charged particle energy into light and a light sensitive detector. The conversion element is provided with a sensor surface area provided with a 2D-pattern of beamlet blocking and non-blocking regions. The method comprises taking a plurality of measurements and determining the position of the beamlet with respect to the 2D-pattern on the basis of a 2D-image created by means of the measurements. Each measurement comprises exposing a feature onto a portion of the 2D-pattern with a beamlet, wherein the feature position differs for each measurement, receiving light transmitted through the non-blocking regions, converting the received light into a light intensity value, and assigning the light intensity value to the position at which the measurement was taken.
Method and apparatus for Schottky TFE inspection
The present disclosure is related to a Schottky thermal field (TFE) source for emitting an electron beam. Electron optics can adjust a shape of the electron beam before the electron beam impacts a scintillator screen. Thereafter, the scintillator screen generates an emission image in the form of light. An emission image can be adjusted and captured by a camera sensor in a camera at a desired magnification to create a final image of the Schottky TFE source's tip. The final image can be displayed and analyzed to for defects.
ALIGNMENT DETERMINATION METHOD AND COMPUTER PROGRAM
The present invention concerns a method of determining alignment of electron optical components in a charged particle apparatus. The charged particle apparatus comprising: an aperture array and a detector configured to detect charged particles corresponding to beamlets that pass through the corresponding apertures in the aperture array. The method comprises: scanning each beamlet in a plane of the aperture array over a portion of the aperture array in which a corresponding aperture of the aperture array is defined so that charged particles of each beamlet may pass through the corresponding aperture; detecting during the scan any charged particles corresponding to each beamlet that passes through the corresponding aperture; generating a detection pixel for each beamlet based on the detection of charged particles corresponding to each beamlet at intervals of the scan; and collecting information comprised in the detection pixel such as the intensity of charged particles.
Methods and devices for measuring orbital angular momentum states of electrons
A device for measuring electron orbital angular momentum states in an electron microscope includes the following components aligned sequentially in the following order along an electron beam axis: a phase unwrapper (U) that is a first electrostatic refractive optical element comprising an electrode and a conductive plate, where the electrode is aligned perpendicular to the conductive plate; a first electron lens system (L1); a phase corrector (C) that is a second electrostatic refractive optical element comprising an array of electrodes with alternating electrostatic bias; and a second electron lens system (L2). The phase unwrapper may be a needle electrode or knife edge electrode.
SYSTEM USING PIXELATED FARADAY SENSOR
A system and method for optimizing a ribbon ion beam in a beam line implantation system is disclosed. The system includes a calibration sensor disposed in the beam line after the mass analyzer. The calibration sensor is able to measure both the total current of the ribbon ion beam, as well as provide information about its vertical position. Information from the calibration sensor can then be utilized by a controller to adjust various parameters to improve the density as well as the vertical position. In some embodiments, the calibration sensor may include a plurality of Faraday sensors, where, both the total current and the vertical position of the ion beam can be determined. Furthermore, the focus of the ion beam can be estimated based on the distribution of the current in the height direction.
