Footwear sole
A footwear sole includes an outsole assembly having a heel outsole, a forefoot outsole spaced axially apart from the heel outsole by an arch gap, and a sidewall extending between the heel outsole and the forefoot outsole. The sidewall has an elevated bottom edge extending axially along the arch gap on each of a medial and lateral side of the outsole assembly. The footwear sole further includes a support frame in the outsole assembly. The frame has an arch support surface extending axially along the arch gap at an elevation below at least a portion of each bottom edge. The footwear sole further includes a cushioning midsole in the outsole assembly and extending along the arch gap atop the arch support surface.

Article of footwear, elements thereof, and related methods of manufacturing
A shank for an article of footwear including a substantially planar base portion extending within a first plane in the longitudinal and lateral directions and a substantially planar ramp portion designed to absorb footwear loads in a vertical direction, the ramp portion extending, in an uncompressed state, within a second plane that is oblique to the first plane. The base portion and the ramp portion are arranged such that they do not overlap in the vertical direction. A sole assembly is also described and includes an outsole divided into a first portion located at a forefoot portion of the sole assembly and a second portion located at an arch portion of the sole assembly. The second portion is designed to contact the midsole in a compressed state and form a gap between when a load is removed. Related methods of manufacturing are also described.

CUSTOMIZABLE FOOTWEAR SYSTEM
A customizable arch support system for use in fashionable high heeled shoes, designed to provide superior configurability and comfort for the wearer. More particularly, the system provides configurability so that it will provide superior support and comfort for the wearer, while maintaining minimal cross section profile which causes less limitations for the shoe designer.

Outsole structure for shoes and cleated shoe using same
A shoe outsole structure includes: a first outsole component made of a deformable soft resin material and configured to entirely support a plantar surface spreading from a forefoot to a hindfoot; and a second outsole component integrally formed on top of the first outsole component, made of a hard resin material which has a higher rigidity than the first outsole component, and configured to support a region, of the plantar surface, which is continuous from a rear portion, of the forefoot, located rearward of metatarsophalangeal joints to the hindfoot.

Footwear with dual shanks
Footwear for covering a foot of a wearer includes an outsole configured for supporting the foot of the wearer, an upper secured to the outsole and configured for covering the foot of the wearer, an insole located above the outsole within the upper, and first and second laterally adjacent shanks located above the outsole and below the insole. The first and second shanks angle outward from near a lateral center of the heel portion of the outsole toward lateral and medial sides of the middle portion of the outsole so that front ends of the first and second shanks are located at a position to be under outer balls of the wearer's foot to provide balance and torsional stability for sides of the wearer's foot.
