An assembly for assisting a user in putting on footwear having a tongue includes a shoehorn portion and one or more attachment portions. The shoehorn portion includes an elongated handle and an engagement member. The engagement member includes a first surface and one or more shoehorn magnets situated proximate to the first surface. The attachment portions are removably attached to the tongue and include a clip and a body portion. The clip is configured to removably attached to the tongue. The body portion is connected to the clip and includes one or more attachment magnets configured to engage with the shoehorn magnets. The engagement of the attachment magnets to the shoehorn magnets allows the user to manipulate a movement of the tongue.

An upper may include a first knitted portion configured to form an outer surface of the upper, a second knitted portion configured to form an inner surface of the upper, where the second knitted portion is at least partially coextensive with the first knitted portion, an interstitial space between the first knitted portion and the second knitted portion, and a knitted connection structure connecting the first knitted portion to the second knitted portion. The knitted connection structure may extend at least partially along at least one of a tongue and a collar of the upper, and the second knitted portion may include at least one double jersey knit structure that is coextensive with the first knitted portion.

A method of forming an upper for an article of footwear includes providing a first material layer over a shoe last, providing a second material layer over the first material layer such that the first and second material layers adhere to each other at an interface between the first and second material layers, where one or both of the first material layer and second material layer is provided by spray forming a polymer material onto the last. The material layers are removed from the last and turned inside out such that the first material layer includes an exposed surface that forms an exterior surface of the upper.

In one aspect, the present disclosure relates to an article at least partially formed by a knitted component. In some embodiments, the article may include an upper for an article of footwear. The knitted component may include a seamless portion extending from a toe area, through a midfoot area, and to a heel area of the upper on at least one of a lateral and a medial side of the upper. A first course may at least partially form the knitted component, and the first course may extend from the heel area to the toe area of the upper. The knitted component may include one or more scallop elements at least partially overlapping.
