A shoe component includes a tongue covering an instep of a foot of a wearer, a medial wing covering a medial midfoot of the wearer, and a lateral wing covering a lateral midfoot of the wearer, in which a part of the tongue on a medial foot side from a center in a foot width direction and the medial wing constitute a medial-foot tongue portion, a part of the tongue on a lateral foot side from the center in the foot width direction and the lateral wing constitute a lateral-foot tongue portion, and at least one of the medial-foot tongue portion and the lateral-foot tongue portion is provided with a tongue eyelet through which a shoelace is threaded.

An article of footwear has a footwear upper that includes a base layer defining a throat opening, a tongue having a forward end fixed to the base layer forward of the throat opening, and a strap having an anchored end fixed at the base layer and a securing end selectively securable at the base layer. The tongue is pivotable about the forward end between an access position and a use position, extends over and covers the throat opening in the use position, and rests against an exterior of the base layer at a medial side of the base layer and at a lateral side of the base layer in the use position. The strap crosses over an exterior of the tongue with the securing end secured at the base layer and the tongue in the use position.
ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR WITH PIVOTING TONGUE AND ANCHORING STRAP
An article of footwear has a footwear upper that includes a base layer defining a throat opening, a tongue having a forward end fixed to the base layer forward of the throat opening, and a strap having an anchored end fixed at the base layer and a securing end selectively securable at the base layer. The tongue is pivotable about the forward end between an access position and a use position, extends over and covers the throat opening in the use position, and rests against an exterior of the base layer at a medial side of the base layer and at a lateral side of the base layer in the use position. The strap crosses over an exterior of the tongue with the securing end secured at the base layer and the tongue in the use position.
ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR HAVING AN AUTOMATIC LACING SYSTEM
A lacing system for an article of footwear includes a sole structure, an upper attached to the sole structure with a lateral side, a medial side, and a tongue, and a housing disposed on the tongue. A lateral side flap extends from the sole structure along the lateral side of the upper toward the tongue having an upper end next to the tongue. A medial side flap extends from the sole structure along the medial side of the upper toward the tongue having an upper end being next to the tongue. A plurality of lateral lace retainers is disposed along the upper end of the lateral side flap, and a plurality of medial lace retainers is disposed along the upper end of the medial side flap. A lace extends from the housing through the plurality of lateral and medial lace retainers in a crisscrossing manner across the tongue.

Shoe/boot with replaceable water-proof sock
A shoe/boot includes an outsole and a vamp, and a first opening is defined in the top of the shoe/boot. A first connection portion is located along the periphery of the first opening. A water-proof sock is inserted into the first opening and has a second opening defined in the top thereof A second connection portion is formed at the periphery of the second opening. The first connection portion is detachably connected to the second connection portion to secure the water-proof sock to the shoe/boot. The water-proof sock can be removed from the shoe/boot by separating the first connection portion from the second connection portion.
