ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR HAVING ADAPTIVE ACTUATION MECHANICS
An article of footwear includes a sole structure comprising a midsole, an upper attached to the sole structure, and an adaptive actuation system coupled to the upper. The adaptive actuation system includes a cable configured to compress a portion of the upper in response to movement of at least one of the sole structure or the upper by the user.
FASTENING DEVICE
A fastening device can be attached to an activity equipment. The fastening device includes at least one buckle and a flexible band. At least one positioning pillar is provided inside the buckle. The flexible band has two end portions, and each end portion has at least one positioning hole. The buckle and the flexible band can be assembled together and separated from each other. In an assembled state, the positioning pillar inserts inside the positioning hole so that the end portion is fixed inside the buckle and the flexible band extends outside the buckle from a rear end of the buckle.
Channeled Shoe Sole System
Shoe soles with channels for receiving shoelaces or other tightening devices. The channels penetrate through the sole crossing the lateral direction (long length of the foot). Variation of the lacing pattern provides for many different aesthetic or functional arrangements. Some versions have tubes in or on the walls of the upper of the shoe. These can shield the laces from view, abrasion, etc.
Foot presence signal processing systems and methods
A foot presence sensor system for an active article of footwear can include a sensor housing configured to be disposed at or in an insole of the article, and a controller circuit, disposed within the sensor housing, configured to trigger one or more automated functions of the footwear based on a foot presence indication. In an example, the sensor system includes a capacitive or magnetic sensor configured to sense changes in a body's proximity to the sensor in footwear. Characteristics of the sensed proximity can be used to update an automated footwear function, such as an automatic lacing function, or can be used to determine a step count, foot strike force, a rate of travel, or other information about a foot or about the footwear.
FOOTWEAR CLOSURE SYSTEM
A closure system for a shoe includes a single shoelace which can be secured and tightened through the use of one hand. The shoe includes a button around which the shoelace is wrapped to facilitate easy removal of the shoe. In one embodiment one end of the shoelace is secured under the upper of the shoe near the toe and a second end of the shoelace is secured in a slider that is slidably mounted on the rear of the shoe to provide micro-adjustments of the tightness of the shoe. Alternatively, the shoe includes a strip of piping around the rear of the shoe and a slider in which the second end of the shoelace is secured slides along the piping when the user wants to make micro-adjustments. The adjustment of the tightness of the shoe can also be made by sliding a barrel that is located over the top of the tongue.

Article with adjustable rearward covering portion
An article of footwear includes an upper with a forward covering portion and a rearward covering portion. The rearward covering portion can be adjusted between an open configuration for receiving a foot and a closed configuration for covering the foot. In the open configuration the rearward covering portion is approximately flat, while in the closed configuration the rearward covering portion has a three-dimensional shape. The rearward covering portion may be folded vertically between the open configuration and the closed configuration. A tensioning member can be used to control the configuration of the rearward covering portion.

REEL BASED CLOSURE DEVICES FOR TIGHTENING A SKI BOOT
A differentially tightenable ski boot includes a lower shell and an upper cuff that is pivotally coupled with the lower shell. The ski boot includes a first tightening system that is coupled with the lower shell and a second tightening system that is coupled with the upper cuff. Each tightening system includes a reel based closure device, a tension member that is operably coupled with the reel based closure device, and at least one guide member that routes or directs the tension member along a path about the lower shell or upper cuff. The first tightening system and the second tightening system are operable independently of each other to independently and differentially tightening the lower shell and the upper cuff.
