Article of footwear with upper and sole structure having substantially equal coefficients of friction
An article of footwear comprises an upper and a sole structure secured to the upper. The upper includes a side portion that has a first material composition at an exterior surface of the side portion. The exterior surface has a first coefficient of friction. The sole structure has a second material composition at an exterior surface of the sole structure that underlies the side portion of the upper. The exterior surface of the sole structure has a second coefficient of friction. The first coefficient of friction is substantially equal to the second coefficient of friction.
Footwear fastening system
An article of footwear facilitates relatively easy donning and removal, and secure adjustment. The article of footwear comprises a sole structure, an upper secured to the sole structure, and a plurality of tensioning cables having proximal ends fixed to at least one of the upper or the sole structure and extending out of the upper. A strap has a proximal end connected to distal ends of the plurality of tensioning cables, and has a distal end releasably securable to the upper to tighten the tensioning cables. A webbed spacer is secured to the plurality of tensioning cables. The webbed spacer extends between adjacent ones of the plurality of tensioning cables, and the adjacent ones of the plurality of tensioning cables spaced apart from one another by the webbed spacer.
ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR WITH KNITTED COMPONENT HAVING PLURALITY OF GRADUATED PROJECTIONS
An article of footwear includes a sole structure and an upper that is attached to the sole structure. The upper defines a cavity that is configured to receive a foot of a wearer. The upper is at least partially defined by a textile. The textile includes a first area that is substantially smooth. The first area defines a reference boundary that conforms to the cavity. The textile includes a second area. The second area includes a plurality of projection structures that project away from the reference boundary and outwardly from the cavity at varying heights. The second area includes a plurality of recess structures that recess away from the reference boundary and inwardly toward the cavity. The plurality of projection structures and the plurality of recess structures are in an alternating arrangement across the textile.

Article of footwear with dynamic tensioning system
An article of footwear includes a fastening system including a guide element and a carriage member slidably coupled to the guide element. A lacing element is coupled to the carriage member such that the position of the lacing element changes as the carriage member moves along the guide element. In an embodiment, the footwear includes a lateral side rail and a medial side rail, each rail including one or more carriage members selectively movable along the rail for a predetermined distance. The lacing element extends repeatedly from the lateral side to the medial side, being captured by the carriage members. In operation, the carriage members move along the rail, adapting the positioning of the lacing element.

ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR WITH RECONFIGURABLE FASTENING SYSTEM
An article of footwear includes a sole, an upper coupled to the sole and having an inner surface and an outer surface, the upper being configured to receive at least a portion of a human foot within an interior cavity at least partially defined by the upper, a plurality of eyelets disposed on the upper, each eyelet including a pair of openings disposed in the upper, and a cord threaded through the pair of openings of each eyelet of the plurality of eyelets such that the cord includes a series of unexposed portions and a series of exposed portions. The series of exposed portions are disposed more proximate to the outer surface of the upper than the inner surface of the upper.

Article of footwear with reconfigurable fastening system
An article of footwear includes a sole, an upper, and a reconfigurable fastening system. The upper is coupled to the sole and includes medial and lateral quarters. Disposed on the medial and lateral quarters are a plurality of eyelets. Each of the eyelets includes a pair of openings disposed in the upper. The plurality of eyelets further includes at least one elongate member threaded through the pair of openings of each eyelet. The elongate member includes a series of first, or unexposed, portions that are disposed on an inner surface of the upper, and a series of second, or exposed, portions that are disposed on the outer surface of the upper. As fastener or lacing may be selectively threaded through an eyelet of the plurality of eyelets, where the fastener may be threaded between the second portion of the elongate member and the outer surface of the upper.
