FUEL CELL SYSTEM
A fuel cell system includes a first fuel cell stack, a second fuel cell stack, a supply pipeline having a branching portion, a discharge pipeline having a merging portion, a first branching pipeline, a second branching pipeline, a first merging pipeline and a second merging pipeline. Sizes of cross sections of flows of the respective pipelines are the same. A length of the first branching pipeline connected to the branching portion and the first fuel cell stack is shorter than a length of the second branching pipeline connected to the branching portion and the second fuel cell stack. A length of the first merging pipeline connected to the merging portion and the first fuel cell stack is greater than a length of the second merging pipeline connected to the merging portion and the second fuel cell stack.
FUEL CELL MOUNT APPARATUS
A fuel cell mount apparatus includes a plurality of fuel cell stacks, a pipe arrangement, a fluid adjustment part, a pressure detection part, and a control device. The pipe arrangement is individually connected to each of the fuel cell stacks. The fluid adjustment part adjusts a pressure or a flow rate of a fluid which flows through the pipe arrangement. The pressure detection part is disposed on a portion which requires a desired pressure or flow rate of the fluid in the pipe arrangement and detects the pressure of the fluid. The control device controls the fluid adjustment part on the basis of a detection result of the pressure detection part.

Apparatus comprising a fuel cell unit and a component, and a stack component for use in such an apparatus
A fuel cell unit with a plurality of fuel cells defining a longitudinal axis and a main flow direction coaxial to the longitudinal axis. Fuel cell inlets and fuel cell outlets are arranged at opposite ends of the fuel cell unit and in line with the main flow direction. Also, a component comprising first fluid conduits arranged parallel to the main flow direction, the first fluid conduits comprising first fluid inlets and first fluid outlets arranged at opposite ends of the component and in line with the main flow direction. The component is arranged adjacent the fuel cell unit such that at least one of the first fluid inlets and the first fluid outlets of the component are arranged adjacent at least one of the fuel cell outlets and the fuel cell inlets such that a fluid flow may flow substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the apparatus in the first fluid conduits of the component and in the fuel cell unit and when passing from the component to the fuel cell unit or vice versa.
Method and apparatus for cleaning catalyst of a power cell
A method of cleaning power cells in an array of power cells, comprising coupling at least one first power cell to second power cells in an array of power cells and causing the second power cells to drive the at least one first power cell with a voltage to clean catalyst on the at least one first power cell.
FUEL CELL STACK
A fuel cell stack includes a coolant channel provided between a first separator of a first power generation cell among power generation cells and a second separator of a second power generation cell among the power generation cells which is adjacent to the first power generation cell. A coolant manifold is connected to the coolant channel. A coolant manifold end member is connected to the coolant manifold. The coolant manifold end member includes an air vent wall having an opening provided at an uppermost position of the coolant manifold end member in a height direction of the fuel cell stack. The coolant manifold end member includes a wall which surrounds the air vent wall and which is thinner than the air vent wall. The air vent pipe protrudes from the air vent wall. The air vent pipe and the coolant manifold end member are integrally made.
Cell stack device, fuel cell module, fuel cell device, and method of fabricating cell stack device
[Object] To provide a cell stack device, the power generation efficiency of which is improved, and a fuel cell module and a fuel cell device that include the cell stack device. [Solution] A cell stack device 1 includes a cell stack 2 that includes a plurality of fuel cells 3 electrically connected to one another and arranged, the fuel cells 3 that each includes a gas channel through which a reactant gas flows. In the cell stack device 1, the fuel cells 3 of the cell stack 2 are provided in the form of fuel cell groups that each include an arbitrary number of the fuel cells 3. In the cell stack device 1, the fuel cell groups are arranged such that average pressure loss values of the fuel cells 3 of the fuel cell groups increase sequentially from a central portion to an end portion side in a fuel cell 3 arrangement direction. Thus, the power generation efficiency of the cell stack device 1 can be improved.
FUEL CELL DEVICE
A fuel cell device comprises a fuel cell stack which is formed from a plurality of unit cells stacked one above the other in a stacking direction, each unit cell having one or more media channels and a membrane electrode assembly that comprises a cathode, an anode, and a membrane arranged between the cathode and the anode, and comprising a media duct running substantially parallel to the stacking direction. The media duct is connected or can be connected to the fuel cell stack to conduct a medium into or out of the media channels of the unit cells of the fuel cell stack substantially laterally to the stacking direction. The media duct is formed as a functional component or such a functional component is integrated therein, which is formed to pre-treat the medium before it enters the media channels or to post-treat the medium after it has exited the media channels.
