A battery module includes a lower housing and a plurality of battery cells. The plurality of battery cells are electrically coupled together to produce a voltage. The module also includes an assembly disposed over the battery cells and coupled to the lower housing. The assembly may include a lid and a plurality of bus bar interconnects mounted on the lid. The module also includes a printed circuit board (PCB) assembly disposed on and coupled to the assembly. The PCB assembly may include a PCB. The module also includes a cover disposed over and coupled to the lower housing to hermetically seal the battery module. Also disclosed is a method of manufacturing the battery module.

ASSEMBLY FOR A VEHICLE COMPRISING A PLURALITY OF BATTERIES AND AN EVACUATION SYSTEM

An assembly for a vehicle comprising at least two battery blocks, each having a casing in which the battery block is enclosed and that has a connection face. The outer skin of the vehicle has an outlet orifice. There is a main duct connected to the outlet orifice. For each casing, an evacuation duct is connected between the connection face and the main duct. A damping unit is provided at the joint between each connection face and the evacuation duct. A damping unit is provided at the joint between the main duct and the outlet orifice. Each damping unit limits the amplitude of an overpressure propagating from the casing towards the outlet orifice. Such an assembly enables an overpressure to be damped in the event of a battery being damaged, inter alia.

The Directional Flow Expanded Metal (DFEM) and Variable Expanded Metal (VEM) utilizes directional fins and associated plethora of openings offset in overlapping layers to create a centrifuge or cyclone effect for gases or particles passing through the filter. The fins and holes are offset from layer to layer within the wrap of the collar filter and are designed to immediately change the direction of the flames and burning particles relative to the input flame flow direction.

The partition wall has a through-hole opening at a position facing the exhaust passage. In the core pack, the exhaust passage formed in each battery block and the through-hole formed in partition wall are arranged on a straight line to constitute an exhaust duct for the exhaust gas. The exhaust gas discharged from the valve-side end surface arranged at the first end passes through the exhaust duct and then is discharged from an exhaust portion to an outside.
