Compact and lightweight TEM-line network for RF components of antenna systems
A TEM-line network architecture for RF components used in antenna system, includes an electrically conductive main body forming an outer conductor defining a signal channel, and an electrically conductive center conductor electrically grounded to the main body at predetermined locations. The center conductor is electromagnetically isolated from the outer conductor at RF frequencies while being connected and supported within the signal channel only at at least one of the predetermined locations. The outer conductor is preferably formed of three layers with the center conductor being integral with one of the layers.
MULTI-COMMON PORT MULTIBAND FILTERS
A technology for a dual-common port multi-bandpass filter is described. The dual-common port multi-bandpass filter can include two or more analog filters. The dual-common port multi-bandpass filter can include a first common port coupled to an input of each of the two or more analog filters. Each analog filter can be configured to filter one or more frequency bands. The dual-common port multi-bandpass filter can include a second common port coupled to an output of each of the two or more analog filters. Each input of each of the two or more analog filters is impedance matched with the first common port. Each output of each of the two or more analog filters is impedance matched with the second common port.
Intermodulation distortion reduction system using insulated tuning elements
A coaxial cavity resonator filter has a hollow cavity and a post having desired dimensions for achieving desired filter characteristics. A tuning element is supported within a metallic opening and is configured to electromagnetically interact with the post. The tuning element has a conductive core element where the orientation of the tuning element with the cavity is adjusted so as to achieve the desired filter characteristic. An insulator is configured to cover a portion of the conductive core element of the tuning element, at a location where the tuning element and the metallic opening interact. A portion of the insulator is threaded so as to allow the conductive core element vary its orientation within the cavity without contacting the metallic opening.

Low pass filter
When a plurality of RF signals having different freque bands are output at the same time by carrier aggregation, a switch element allows parallel connection between two capacitance elements such that a low pass filter has a first cut-off frequency that is lower than the frequency of an intermodulation distortion signal generated by the carrier aggregation. When an RF signal of a frequency band is output, the switch element releases parallel connection between the two capacitance elements such that the low pass filter has a second cut-off frequency that is higher than the first cut-off frequency.
