The RF circulator includes at least one stage having four ports, a first end, and a second end, wherein a first port and a third port are connected at the first end of the at least one stage, wherein a second port and a fourth port are connected at the second end of the at least one stage, wherein each of the at least one stage includes a pair of couplers connected through a first delay line and a second delay line, thereby forming a network of couplers in the at least one stage.

According to an embodiment, a method includes receiving a magnetic device design comprising a magnetic structure to be formed, at least in part, from a magnetic material matrix, wherein the magnetic material matrix is configured to be used in at least one of a magnetic materials additive manufacturing system (MMAMS) and a magnetic materials bulk extrusion system (MMBES); receiving the magnetic material matrix by at least one of the MMAMS and the MMBES; and dispensing the magnetic material matrix using at least one of the MMAMS and the MMBES to form the magnetic structure.

In one embodiment, a multi-bit phase shifter comprises: a first switching circulator having a first port coupled to a first short circuit of a first phase length; and a second switching circulator coupled in series with the first switching circulator, the second switching circulator having a second port coupled to a second short circuit of a second phase length, the second switching circulator configured to switch in the second short circuit when the first short circuit is switched out by the first switching circulator, and switch out the second short circuit when the first short circuit is switched in by the first switching circulator.

Systems and methods for ferrite circulator phase shifters are provided. In one embodiment, a multi-bit phase shifter comprises: a first switching circulator having a first port coupled to a first short circuit of a first phase length; and a second switching circulator coupled in series with the first switching circulator, the second switching circulator having a second port coupled to a second short circuit of a second phase length, the second switching circulator configured to switch in the second short circuit when the first short circuit is switched out by the first switching circulator, and switch out the second short circuit when the first short circuit is switched in by the first switching circulator.

Phase-modulated load apparatus and method

Methods and apparatus are provided to improve the efficiency of an outphasing amplifier through modulating the phase angle of a reflected signal in the outphasing amplifier. An outphasing amplifier includes a first amplifier and a second amplifier. A circulator is provided having a first port coupled to an output of the outphasing amplifier, a second port coupled to a load and a third port coupled to a phase shifter. The phase shifter is configured to provide a different phase angle of a reflected signal from the phase shifter to the outphasing amplifier through the circulator.

Phase-modulated load apparatus and method

Methods and apparatus are provided to improve the efficiency of an outphasing amplifier through modulating the phase angle of a reflected signal in the outphasing amplifier. An outphasing amplifier includes a first amplifier and a second amplifier. Magnetless cryogenic circulator

A magnetless cryogenic circulator is developed that has three identical resonators in three branches. Each branch connects two ports and each resonator has a capacitor connected across a tunable inductor. A set of tunable inductors modulated with modulation signals that have a relative phase of 0, 120 and 240 provided through a circuit. A microstrip delay line for providing the modulation signal to the three resonators, wherein the resonators are modulated in time such that the degeneracy of the two inherent counter-rotating modes is lifted, achieving a non-reciprocal signal routing. All capacitors and inductors are monolithically integrated and fabricated using a multi-layer Nb-based process with Nb/AlOx/Nb JJs.

Magnetless cryogenic circulator

A magnetless cryogenic circulator is developed that has three identical resonators in three branches. Each branch connects two ports and each resonator has a capacitor connected across a tunable inductor. A set of tunable inductors modulated with modulation signals that have a relative phase of 0, 120 and 240 provided through a circuit. A microstrip delay line for providing the modulation signal to the three resonators, wherein the resonators are modulated in time such that the degeneracy of the two inherent counter-rotating modes is lifted, achieving a non-reciprocal signal routing. A device comprises filter circuitry and non-linear mixing devices. The filter circuitry comprises a first port, a second port, a first bandpass filter, and a second bandpass filter. The non-linear mixing devices are responsive to control signals to couple poles of the first bandpass filter to respective poles of the second bandpass filter to cause non-reciprocal transmission of signals from the first port to the second port.

Multipole multiband isolator devices

A device comprises filter circuitry and non-linear mixing devices. The filter circuitry comprises a first port, a second port, a first bandpass filter, and a second bandpass filter. The non-linear mixing devices are responsive to control signals to couple poles of the first bandpass filter to respective poles of the second bandpass filter to cause non-reciprocal transmission of signals from the first port to the second port.
