ANTENNA-RETAINING DEVICE FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE, AND MOTOR VEHICLE HAVING AN ANTENNA-RETAINING DEVICE
20220102848 · 2022-03-31 · ·

The disclosure relates to an antenna-retaining device for a motor vehicle. The antenna-retaining device includes an antenna carrier plate for retaining a monopole antenna in an emitting position; and a motor-vehicle coupling device for fastening the antenna carrier plate to a vehicle body. The antenna carrier plate is electrically conductive and thus forms an electrical counterpoise to the monopole antenna. The antenna-retaining device includes an electrically conductive tab element as a counterpoise extension. The antenna carrier plate and the counterpoise extension are interconnected. When the monopole antenna is retained in the emitting position, the monopole antenna and the counterpoise extension are arranged on opposite sides of the antenna carrier plate, and a surface of the counterpoise extension and a planar emitting region or a longitudinal axis of the monopole antenna include an angle in the range of 90° to 180°.

WAVEGUIDE SENSOR ASSEMBLIES AND RELATED METHODS

Methods for manufacturing a vehicle sensor module, such as a RADAR sensor module. In some implementations, the method may comprise forming a sub-assembly comprising a plurality of stacked layers formed into a self-contained radome and adhering the sub-assembly to a first side of an antenna block, the first side comprising a plurality of waveguide grooves formed therein. The sub-assembly may be applied so as to provide a weatherproof seal to each of the plurality of waveguide grooves formed in the antenna block. A PCB layer may be applied to a second side of the antenna block opposite the first side and the antenna block may be seated within a cover such that the second side is protected by the cover and the first side is protected by the self-contained radome.

Method and apparatus to mount a medical imaging antenna to a flexible substrate
11303027 · 2022-04-12 · ·

A flexible coil includes a flexible substrate with a plurality of holes extending through the substrate. Each hole is configured to receive at least a portion of a fastener extending through the hole. Each fastener engages the flexible substrate and an antenna loop to positively retain the antenna loop to the flexible substrate. The holes are arranged in the flexible substrate to align each antenna loop with respect to the other antenna loops mounted to the flexible substrate. The fasteners are removably mounted to the flexible substrate such that the fastener positively retains the antenna loop to the flexible substrate when mounted to the flexible substrate but allows individual antenna loops to be removed from the flexible substrate when the fastener is removed from the flexible substrate. Multiple fasteners are provided for each antenna loop and are spaced apart from each other and positioned along the length of the loop.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR RELATIVE POSE SENSING AND FIELD ENFORCEMENT OF MATERIALS HANDLING VEHICLES USING ULTRA-WIDEBAND RADIO TECHNOLOGY

According to the embodiments described herein, system and methods for determining relative pose of materials handling vehicles in an industrial environment may include utilizing UWB antenna array systems respective mounted on the materials handling vehicles to send mutually received information to determine the relative pose between the vehicles, determining one or more fields of each materials handling vehicle, and determining one or more overlapping fields between the materials handling vehicles based on the determined one or more fields and the relative pose. A vehicle control may be implemented based on the determined relative pose and the overlapping fields as a field enforcement, such as a control action to avoid collision between the vehicles.
