Systems utilizing integrated roofing accessories for controlling directions of communications and methods of use thereof
Systems and methods of the present disclosure include controlling directions of communications including a processor to obtain performance data of an integrated roofing accessory installed on a roof, the integrated roofing accessory including an antenna and a transceiver to enable fifth generation cellular networking (5G) protocol communication with a 5G-enabled device, and an adjustable attachment to orient or position the antenna. The performance data is indicative of 5G signal performance between the integrated roofing accessory and the 5G-enabled device. A signal performance affecting condition is determined using the performance data, where the signal performance affecting condition is a reduced signal performance of a 5G signal beam of the antenna. An improved orientation or an improved position of the antenna is determined to remedy the signal performance affecting condition. The adjustable attachment is controlled to physically adjust the orientation of the position to achieve the improved orientation or position.

An accuracy of required position measurement can be ensured and an antenna can be miniaturized.
An antenna which transmits a wireless signal for position measurement includes a board formed of a dielectric material, four radiation conductors formed in a 22 array on a first surface of the board, and a ground conductor formed on a second surface of the board, and the board and the ground conductor are formed so as not to protrude to the outside of the four radiation conductors.
METHOD FOR ELIMINATION OF ANTENNA ANGULAR ORIENTATION ERROR IN POINT-TO-POINT COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
The present invention is related to means for elimination of antenna orientation errors in millimeter wave point-to-point communication systems with beam steerable antennas. The advantage of the proposed method consists in accelerating antenna angular orientation adjustment for two connected transceivers. The advantage is achieved via determination of a value and a direction of an antenna orientation error and its further fast mechanical elimination. The method assumes transmission of radio signals and reception of them with measurement of the received signal powers. Determination of a direction and a value of an orientation error of the first transceiver antenna is achieved via measurement of the powers of signals transmitted by this antenna using different radiation patterns. Determination of a direction and a value of an orientation error of the second transceiver antenna is achieved via measurement of the powers of signals received by this antenna using different radiation patterns.
MULTI-BEAM SHAPED REFLECTOR ANTENNA FOR CONCURRENT COMMUNICATION WITH MULTIPLE SATELLITES
In one embodiment, a multi-beam antenna is described. The multi-beam antenna includes a reflector having a single reflector surface defining a first focal region and a second focal region. A first feed group is located within the first focal region. The first feed group includes a first feed oriented relative to the reflector define a first beam pointed in a first direction. The multi-beam antenna further includes a fixed attachment mechanism attaching the first feed group to the reflector such that a position of the first feed group is fixed relative to the reflector. The multi-beam antenna further includes a second feed group located within the second focal region. The second feed group includes a second feed oriented relative to the reflector to define a second beam pointed in a second direction. The multi-beam antenna further includes an adjustable attachment mechanism attaching the second feed group to the reflector in an adjustable relation to the reflector, whereby a difference between the first direction and the second direction is adjustable.

An apparatus comprising a processor and memory including computer program code, the memory and computer program code configured to, with the processor, enable the apparatus at least to: map the value of a radio channel key performance indicator throughout a generally repeating cycle for two or more positions of an antenna of a first device, the value of the radio channel key performance indicator varying with changes in a radio environment between the first device and a second device for a given antenna position; and use the mapped value of the radio channel key performance indicator to determine at least one position of the antenna for use in controlling the positioning of the antenna to achieve at least one acceptable value of the radio channel key performance indicator.
Satellite television antenna system
A satellite television antenna apparatus is connectable to a remotely-located set top box (STB). The satellite television antenna apparatus can include a motorized reflector dish movable in at least one of an azimuth orientation and an elevation orientation, and an antenna control system. The antenna control system can be configured to conduct two-way communication through a physical connection or a wireless connection between the satellite television antenna apparatus and the STB. The antenna control system is responsive to an indication from the STB via the communication connection that a satellite location candidate locked onto by the satellite television antenna apparatus corresponds to a subscriber's television programming package.

The adjustable antenna positioning system feed is in a secondary arrangement when the feed insert is coupled with the feed base and the splash plate.
Configurable antenna and method of operating such a configurable antenna
An antenna apparatus for use in a wireless network and method of operating such an antenna apparatus are provided. A wireless network controller provides a configuration of such an antenna apparatus, a method of operating such a wireless network controller, and a resulting wireless network. The antenna apparatus comprises a directional antenna and a uniform circular antenna array. The directional antenna can be rotatably positioned about an axis with respect to a fixed mounting portion of the apparatus in dependence on wireless signals received by the antenna array. The antenna array allows the antenna apparatus to receive wireless signals isotropically and thus to accurately monitor the wireless signal environment in which it finds itself. The antenna apparatus can thus monitor and characterize incoming signals, both from external interference sources and from other network nodes, and the directional antenna can then be positioned in rotation to improve the network throughput.
