HYBRID PHASED-ARRAY AND STEERING LENSES FOR BEAM STEERING
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a wireless communication device may select, for communicating a signal, one or more active elements of a set of antenna elements based at least in part on positions of the one or more active elements of the set of antenna elements relative to a set of steering lenses of the wireless communication device; and communicate the signal based at least in part on emitting or receiving the signal using the one or more active elements, wherein the set of steering lenses of the wireless communication device steer the signal to or from the one or more active elements. Numerous other aspects are provided.
RECONFIGURABLE ANTENNA
A system may include a meta-surface including multiple unit cells arranged along the meta-surface. Structural parameters of each unit cell may vary along the meta-surface. The system may further include at least a first active feed unit directed toward the meta-surface to generate a first beam. The first active feed unit may be configured to move relative to the meta-surface parallel to a 2-dimensional plane. The first beam is steerable by moving the first active feed unit.
Control apparatus, OAM transmission apparatus, OAM reception apparatus, control method, non-transitory computer-readable medium, and control system
In a transmitting-side control apparatus (30), a transmission control unit (32) controls a radiator (11) to transmit an OAM known signal formed by one common OAM transmission mode at each of transmitting-side relative position candidates. An acquisition unit (33) acquires a feedback signal including information about a use transmitting-side relative position based on a reception strength of the OAM known signal transmitted under the control of the transmission control unit (32). An adjustment unit (34) adjusts a relative position between the radiator (11) and a focal point of a reflecting mirror (12) to the use transmitting-side relative position indicated by the information included in the feedback signal.

ANTENNA SYSTEM WITH MULTIPLE SYNCHRONOUSLY MOVABLE FEEDS
The antenna system and the method receive signals having radio frequencies in a plurality of radio frequency bands. The antenna system includes a support assembly, a primary reflector that is coupled to the support assembly, a feed assembly that is movably coupled to the support assembly, and a first feed and a second feed fixedly coupled to the feed assembly. The first feed and the second feed are configured to communicate RF signals in a first frequency band and a second frequency band, respectively, of the plurality of frequency bands. The antenna system also includes a first actuator that is configured to move the feed assembly from a first feed assembly position, where the first feed is positioned along a first signal path with the primary reflector, to a second feed assembly position, where the second feed is positioned along a second signal path with the primary reflector.
ANTENNA LENS SWITCHED BEAM ARRAY FOR TRACKING SATELLITES
A radio frequency antenna array uses lenses and RF elements, to provide ground-based coverage for cellular communication. The antenna array can include two spherical lenses, where each spherical lens has at least two associated RF elements. Each of the RF elements associated with a given lens produces an output beam with an output area. Each lens is positioned with the other lenses in a staggered arrangement. The antenna includes a control mechanism configured to enable a user to move the RF elements along their respective tracks, and automatically phase compensate the output beams produced by the RF elements based on the relative distance between the RF elements.

Low Profile Multi Band Antenna System
A multi band antenna system for transmission and reception of electromagnetic signals in a low-profile dual reflector configuration with position-controlled main-reflector, and fixed sub-reflector and feed horn. An added linear slide of the main-reflector with respect to the sub-reflector synchronized with variable tilt angle of the main-reflector for compensation for the varied focal length in the main-reflector to the beam due the varied main-reflector tilt. The system achieves a beam elevation of 10° to 100° (full elevation), minimum gain variations over the full elevation travel, swept volume as per ARINC 791 (e.g. Boeing Radome or Airbus Radome), and can be used to meet wide-Tx/Rx bands requirements.

Coverage area adjustment to adapt satellite communications
The described features generally relate to adjusting a native antenna pattern of a satellite to adapt communications via the satellite. For example, a communications satellite may include an antenna having a feed array assembly, a reflector, and a linear actuator coupled between the feed array assembly and the reflector. The feed array assembly may have a plurality of feeds for communicating signals associated with a communications service, and the reflector may be configured to reflect the signals transmitted between the feed array assembly and one or more target devices. The linear actuator may have an adjustable length, or otherwise provide an adjustable position between the feed array assembly and the reflector. By adjusting the position of the feed array assembly relative to the reflector, the communications satellite may provide a communications service according to a plurality of native antenna patterns.
