An antenna includes a housing, a first conductor group, and a power supply line. The housing includes a first surface including at least three first corner portions, a second surface including at least three second corner portions and facing the first surface, and a side surface connecting the first and second surfaces. A housing portion is surrounded by the first, second and side surfaces. The first conductor group includes a first conductor extending along the first surface, at least three second conductors separated from one another, and a second conductor group. The second conductors extend along the side surface from the first corner portions to the second corner portions and are electrically connected to the first conductor. The second conductor group extends along the second surface and capacitively couples the at least three second conductors. The power supply line is connected to any one portion of the second conductor group.

An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a housing and a connection part. The housing includes a first housing portion that includes a first side face, and a second housing portion that includes a second side face. The connection part connects the first housing portion and the second housing portion. A first conductive member extends along at least a portion of the first side face, a first non-conductive member is disposed on the first side face, a second conductive member extends along at least a portion of the second side face, a second non-conductive member is disposed on the second side face, and when the second housing portion faces the first housing portion, the first non-conductive member and the second non-conductive member are substantially aligned.

An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a housing and a connection part. The housing includes a first housing portion that includes a first side face, and a second housing portion that includes a second side face. The connection part connects the first housing portion and the second housing portion. A first conductive member extends along at least a portion of the first side face, a first non-conductive member is disposed on the first side face, a second conductive member extends along at least a portion of the second side face, a second non-conductive member is disposed on the second side face, and when the second housing portion faces the first housing portion, the first non-conductive member and the second non-conductive member are substantially aligned.

A microstrip antenna array including: a thin substrate; two or more microstrip radiating patches placed on a first side of the substrate, each radiating patch including: an input port; a radiating patch width (WRP) extending in a longitudinal direction; a radiating patch length (LRP) extending in a transverse direction, wherein the transverse direction is perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, and wherein the longitudinal and transverse directions are in the plane of the radiating patch; a radiating patch transverse axis (TRP) along the midpoint of the radiating patch width; and a radiating patch longitudinal axis along the midpoint of the radiating patch length, wherein the two or more radiating patches are spaced in the longitudinal direction such that the radiating patch longitudinal axis of each radiating patch is aligned along a common longitudinal axis (C); and one or more parasitic patches placed on the first side of the substrate.
NARROW BEZEL MULTIBAND ANTENNA SUITABLE FOR A TABLET OR LAPTOP COMPUTER
There is disclosed an antenna arrangement for a portable electronic device, comprising: a ground plane having an edge; and arranged along the edge, in sequence, a feed section, a grounded coupling section, and an extended coupling section. The feed section comprises an RF feed on the ground plane and a feed line extending from the RF feed having a first portion extending substantially perpendicularly from the edge of the ground plane, and a second portion extending from an end of the first portion, substantially parallel to the edge of the ground plane, in a direction away from the grounded coupling section. The grounded coupling section comprises a first conductive element extending substantially parallel to the edge of the ground plane and arranged to overlap or run adjacent to at least a part of the second portion of the feed line of the feed section, and a conductive member to connect the first conductive element to the ground plane. The extended coupling section comprises a conductive meander line extending generally parallel to the edge of the ground plane, one end of the conductive meander line being connected to or configured to couple with a portion of the grounded coupling section, the other end of the conductive meander line being connected to a second conductive element extending substantially parallel to the edge of the ground plane.
NARROW BEZEL MULTIBAND ANTENNA SUITABLE FOR A TABLET OR LAPTOP COMPUTER
There is disclosed an antenna arrangement for a portable electronic device, comprising: a ground plane having an edge; and arranged along the edge, in sequence, a feed section, a grounded coupling section, and an extended coupling section. The feed section comprises an RF feed on the ground plane and a feed line extending from the RF feed having a first portion extending substantially perpendicularly from the edge of the ground plane, and a second portion extending from an end of the first portion, substantially parallel to the edge of the ground plane, in a direction away from the grounded coupling section. The grounded coupling section comprises a first conductive element extending substantially parallel to the edge of the ground plane and arranged to overlap or run adjacent to at least a part of the second portion of the feed line of the feed section, and a conductive member to connect the first conductive element to the ground plane. The extended coupling section comprises a conductive meander line extending generally parallel to the edge of the ground plane, one end of the conductive meander line being connected to or configured to couple with a portion of the grounded coupling section, the other end of the conductive meander line being connected to a second conductive element extending substantially parallel to the edge of the ground plane.

A planar antenna formed on a front surface of a substrate whose back surface serves as a ground surface, the planar antenna includes: a radiating element; a feeding line connected with the radiating element; a first ground element and a second ground element which are respectively electrically connected to the ground surface and are arranged to be opposed to each other across the feeding line; a first parasitic element extending from the first ground element to surround at least a part of the radiating element; and a second parasitic element extending from the second ground element to surround at least a part of the radiating element from an opposite direction from the first parasitic element, wherein the first ground element and the second ground element serve as impedance matching devices for the feeding line.

An antenna assembly according to an implementation includes a dielectric substrate, a radiator region formed as conductive patterns on the dielectric substrate to radiate a radio signal, a feeding line to apply a signal on the same plane as the conductive patterns of the radiator region, a first ground region disposed at one side surface of the radiator region at one side of the feeding line and also disposed at an upper side of the radiator region in one axial direction, to radiator a signal of a first band, and a second ground region disposed at a lower side of the radiator region in the one axial direction at another side of the feeding line, to radiator a signal of a third band, wherein the radiator region radiates a signal of a second band.
Multi-band antenna having passive radiation-filtering elements therein
A multi-band antenna includes a reflector, and a plurality of first radiating elements on the reflector. The plurality of first radiating elements are configured to radiate a first antenna beam(s) in a first frequency band responsive to at least one feed signal. A passive radiation-filtering element is provided, which extends proximate the first antenna beam(s). The passive radiation-filtering element includes at least one of a low-pass LC circuit, a band-pass LC circuit, and a high-pass LC circuit therein, which is configured to provide a lower frequency-dependent impedance to radiation within the first frequency band relative to radiation at frequencies outside the first frequency band. The passive radiation-filtering element may be configured as a multi-segment fence having capacitive and inductive elements therein, which are electrically coupled in series.
