Dual-band antenna for personal area network (PAN) and wireless local area net work (WLAN) radios
Antenna structures and methods of operating the same of a dual-band inverted-F antenna of an electronic device are described. One device includes a single RF feed line coupled to a dual-band inverted-F antenna. The dual-band inverted-F antenna includes a RF feed coupled to the single RF feed line; a ground element; a first arm; a second arm; and a third arm coupled to the ground element. The RF feed is located at a point that is closer to the third arm than a first opening between a distal end of the first arm and the ground element. The second arm is located on an opposite side of the first arm than the ground element, forming a second opening between the second arm and the ground element and a third opening between the second arm and the first arm.

An antenna system for triple-band satellite communication according to one exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure includes a feed horn device that is configured to simultaneously radiate or absorb wireless signals of triple bands including X, Ku and Ka bands, and a waveguide section that is coupled to the feed horn device and configured to transmit input and output of the wireless signals, wherein the feed horn device includes a corrugation horn that is configured to radiate or absorb the wireless signals of the X and Ku bands, the corrugation horn having a bell-like shape with a plurality of corrugations formed on an inner circumferential surface thereof in a stepped manner, and a dielectric feed horn that is configured to radiate or absorb the wireless signal corresponding to the Ku band and disposed in a central region of the corrugation horn.

A diplexer for an antenna comprises a first waveguide operative in a first frequency range, a second waveguide operative in a second higher frequency range, a third waveguide operative in the first frequency range, a transmission device comprising at least three electric conductors, in which at least one of (i) or (ii) is met: (i) the transmission device is operative to receive electromagnetic radiations with at least one type of polarization and in the first frequency range from the third waveguide and to transmit electromagnetic radiations with said type of polarization and in the first frequency range to the first waveguide; (ii) the transmission device is operative to receive electromagnetic radiations with at least one type of polarization and in the first frequency range from the first waveguide and to transmit electromagnetic radiations with said type of polarization and in the first frequency range to the third waveguide.

An apparatus, for example a multi-band radio frequency antenna system, comprising: a primary reflector, for example a parabolic reflector; and a near-field feed arrangement comprising: a multi-band waveguide feed comprising a first waveguide feed for a first frequency band and a second waveguide feed for a second frequency band separate to the first frequency band, wherein the first waveguide feed and the second waveguide feed are co-axial and have, respectively, a first aperture and a second aperture; and a splashplate located within the near-field of the first waveguide feed, located within the near field of the second waveguide feed and configured as a feed for the primary reflector.

An apparatus, for example a multi-band radio frequency antenna system, comprising: a primary reflector, for example a parabolic reflector; and a near-field feed arrangement comprising: a multi-band waveguide feed comprising a first waveguide feed for a first frequency band and a second waveguide feed for a second frequency band separate to the first frequency band, wherein the first waveguide feed and the second waveguide feed are co-axial and have, respectively, a first aperture and a second aperture; and a splashplate located within the near-field of the first waveguide feed, located within the near field of the second waveguide feed and configured as a feed for the primary reflector.
Dual-band integrated printed antenna feed
The invention includes various embodiments of integrated dual-band printed antenna feeds having various combinations of electrical and structural components for use with a prime focus, ring focus, or Cassegrain dish antennas. All of the embodiments of dual-band antenna feeds disclosed herein are configured to be fabricated as a single structure using metal additive manufacturing techniques.
