The resonant structures on the dipole antenna elements of the first array are located at least in part on the balun feed of the dipole antenna elements.

Antenna element

An antenna element is provided that is adapted to provide a more consistent horizontally polarized signal. In one embodiment, a radiator and counterpoise are provided with the counterpoise being disposed between the radiator and a ground plane in use. The feed location for feeding the radiator and the counterpoise is significantly spaced from the ground plane in use and the radiator and counterpoise diverge relative to this feed location.

The first cap is adapted to removably secure against the distal end. The first decorative sleeve is adapted to be removably placed over the first decorative surface. The second cap includes a second decorative surface. The second cap is adapted to be removably secured against the distal end. The second cap is adapted to removably receive the securing portion. The second cap is adapted to removably secure against a signal source and maintain electrical communication between the signal source and the securing portion. The second decorative sleeve is adapted to be removably placed over the second decorative surface.

IMPLANTABLE MEDICAL DEVICE WITH FEEDTHROUGH ANTENNA GROUND STRUCTURE

An implantable medical device may include each of a conductive canister, a printed circuit board assembly (PCBA), and a header. A feedthrough and ferrule couple the interior of the canister, where the PCBA is, to one or more elements contained in the header such as an antenna and/or a port for coupling to a lead. The ferrule may be directly attached to the conductive canister and the electronic circuit board. The electronic circuit board carries an RF transmitter for telemetry purposes, and has an RF ground plane layer therein. The ferrule is capacitively coupled to the RF ground plane the PCBA, and has a size and/or shape relative to the RF ground plane that provides sufficient capacitance to offer an improved RF ground plane path to the conductive canister at a desired telemetry frequency.

ANTENNA FOR FACILITATING REMOTE READING OF UTILITY METERS

An antenna for facilitating remote reading of utility meters is disclosed. The antenna includes a metal rod and a printed circuit board (PCB), both enclosed by an envelope that includes a plastic body and a plastic cap. The plastic body includes a channel for receiving the metal rod. The plastic cap is for covering the plastic body. The PCB includes a dielectric layer located between a first and second metal layers. Secured to the PCB, the metal rod is electrically connected to the second metal layer of the PCB, but not the first metal layer of the PCB.

Low-profile vertically-polarized omni antenna

An omni-directional antenna including a plurality of stacked omni-directional antenna core assemblies. Each antenna core assembly comprises a conductive ground plane defining an axis normal to the ground plane and a plurality of conductive plates projecting orthogonally from the conductive ground plane and angularly spaced about the axis. Each of the plates defines an edge extending radially outboard from the central axis and diverging away from the conductive ground plane as the radial distance increases from the central axis. The edge defines a first region defining an acute angle relative to the conductive ground plane and a second region, radially outboard of the first region defining an arcuate shape.

Passive Thermal-Control System of a Mesh Network Device and Associated Mesh Network Devices

This document describes a passive thermal-control system that is integrated into a mesh network device. The passive thermal-control system, which may include a heat sink and multiple heat spreaders, is such that heat originating with integrated circuit devices of the mesh network device and a speaker module of the mesh network device may be transferred to other components of the mesh network device, such as a housing component of the mesh network device. The heat may then be dissipated to an external environment to maintain a desired thermal profile of the mesh network device.

ANTENNA APPARATUS

An antenna apparatus has a sleeve antenna. The sleeve antenna has an internal conductive member, an external conductive member, an insulating member, and a mountain-shaped conductive member that is electrically connected to the external conductive member. The mountain-shaped conductive member expands radially from an upper edge towards a lower edge. The internal conductive member protrudes higher than the external conductive member above the upper edge of the mountain-shaped conductive member.
