Technique for reconstruction of radiation patterns for antennas working in close proximity of conductive bodies
An antenna assembly minimizes reflection from a proximate reflective surface over a wide band and over a wide range of incident angles as a multi-layer diffuser. The planar structure includes first and second planar layers, each layer having first areas that are more conductive than second areas. Each area has a periphery that extends along a grid of first and second sets of parallel lines so that each area comprises one or more contiguous elements defined by the lines. The first and second areas are configured and arranged so that the planar layer can communicate electromagnetic energy wirelessly in a specific direction to the planar layer when an electrical connection is made to the first area(s). The first planar layer is positioned on top of the second planar layer. The respective second areas of second planar layer aligned with a corresponding second area of the first planar layer.

An antenna array system and a method for making the antenna system. The system includes at least two antenna elements serving as transmitter elements, and at least two antenna elements serving as receiver elements. Each of the transmitter antenna and receiver antenna elements include a pair of curved arms, wherein a first arm in the pair of curved arms is configured to be connected from a signal trace of the antenna system. The second arm in the pair of curved arms is configured to be connected to a ground plane.

Methods, systems, and devices for a dual-polarized antenna array are described. An example antenna array may include a parallel plate polarizer that may include upper and lower plates. The antenna array may include stepped septums extending between the plates, each of the stepped septums having a first and second side surfaces, the stepped septums comprising first and second sets that are inverted relative to each other. The antenna array may include a first divided waveguides associated with a first polarization that may have a first set of opposing walls formed by first portions of the upper and lower plates and a second set of opposing walls. The antenna array may include second divided waveguides associated with a second polarization that may have a first set of opposing walls formed by second portions of the upper and lower plates and a second set of opposing walls.

Wideband phased mobile antenna array devices, systems, and methods
Wideband phased mobile antenna array devices, systems, and methods include antenna elements arranged in a substantially linear array and positioned and adjusted on a substrate to achieve an aggregate radiation pattern in an end-fire direction. In some embodiments, each antenna element includes two pairs of antenna arms, a pair on either side of the substrate. In some embodiments, each pair of antenna arms are configured to be adjusted and positioned symmetrically to generate the end-fire radiation pattern. In some embodiments, each of the antenna elements in the linear array is spaced apart from each other by a distance that is equal to approximately /2, where is a wavelength associated with a frequency within a desired operating frequency range of the antenna system.
Helix antenna
A communications system such as a global position system (GPS) device, a spacecraft tracking device, a handheld radio, or any other communications device may include one or more helix antennas. Each helix antenna may include a conductive circular ring at a distal end of one or more helical arms. In a helical antenna with multiple arms, the arms may be shorted together at the distal end by the conductive circular ring.

Multi-band antenna device
An antenna device includes an antenna space, a barrier, a signal processing device, and a feed space. The antenna space includes first and second antennas that transmit/receive first and second radio frequency (RF) signals in different bands. The barrier includes a penetration region, is disposed adjacent to the antenna space, and reflects the first and second RF signals. The signal processing device adjacent to the barrier, includes first and second RF circuits that process the RF signals. The feed space includes first and second feed layers and is disposed adjacent to and stacked on the signal processing device, and adjacent to the barrier. A first feed line connecting the first RF circuit to the first antenna passes through the first feed layer and the penetration region, and a second feed line connecting the second RF circuit to the second antenna passes through the second feed layer and the penetration region.
