Fastening flat conductor in an electrical assembly
An electrical assembly that includes a substrate having an aperture. A flat conductor is mounted to the substrate and extends over at least a portion of the aperture, with a ring terminal in contact with the flat conductor adjacent to the aperture. A lead wire connects to the ring terminal and is spaced from the substrate, and a fastener extends through the ring terminal and flat conductor, secured in the aperture, and securing the ring terminal against the flat conductor.
Insulation piercing electrical tap connectors
Various implementations of insulation piercing connectors are disclosed. The insulation piercing connectors include a simple and efficient design for providing electrical tap connections to a power cable for voltage detection purposes. The insulation piercing connector includes at least a top housing and a bottom housing that come together to receive the power cable. Terminal contacts are housed internally within the insulation piercing connector, and the terminal contacts are positioned to pierce the power cable when the insulation piercing connector is assembled into an operational state.

INSULATION PIERCING CONNECTOR
The disclosure provides an insulation piercing connector, where two clamp bodies are arranged opposite to each other, a first clamp body comprises a conductive piercing structure, two piercing portions of the piercing structure are covered by an elastic sealing portion, and two cables are clamped between the two clamp bodies; the two clamp bodies are respectively mounted on a fastener so as to be configured such that after the fastener is fastened, the two clamp bodies have a clamping force to clamp the cables, so that the piercing portions pass through elastic sealing portions and insulation layers of the cables and then are conductively connected with conductors of the cables; and due to arrangement of the elastic sealing portions, gaps between the elastic sealing portions and the insulation layers of the cables are filled and sealed, so that ingress protection rating can reach IP-68 after mounting of the branch clamp.
Electrical Coupling
An electrical coupling for making a secure and reliable connection between a frayed end of one or more wires. The electrical coupling comprises a terminal, a casing, a conical portion, and a threading portion. The electrical coupling is configured to receive and squeeze down the frayed end of the one or more wires due to the tapering and narrowing shape of the conical portion within an inner sidewall between a first inner diameter and a second inner diameter. The conical portion comprises a side wall. The side wall is configured to taper in from a first end to a second end to form a conical shape. The conical portion comprises a first open end having the first inner diameter.
