Electrical power connection device

Aspects of the present disclosure relate to an electrical connection device having features for cutting an electrical power conductor while maintaining downstream continuity and limiting access to the electrical power conductor.

Electrical plug repair device
11381037 · 2022-07-05 ·

An electrical repair plug device replaces an original plug device that has been severed from the electrical cord. A housing comprises a base enclosure and a top enclosure that snap together to secure the housing to the electrical power cord. A strainer comprises a strain relief on one end coupled to the electrical power cord and the housing. The strain relief provides support for conduction wires exposed from a skin of the electrical power cord by decoupling external force on the electrical power cord from the conduction wires. The housing includes individual channels for each of the exposed conduction wires, each individual channel insulated from each other and including a plurality of teeth to bite the exposed conduction wires.

TERMINAL FITTING AND ELECTRIC WIRE WITH TERMINALS

A core wire connecting body to be connected to a core wire in an electric wire includes: a bottom, a pair of cantilevered side walls that are disposed facing each other with a space therebetween; and a plurality of pairs of press contact bodies that are disposed facing each other with a space between the pair of side walls, and that cut the coating of the electric wire inserted from an opening, and make press contact with the strands. For the pairs of press contact bodies, compared to a distance between the press contact bodies that is a pair at the farthest section that is farthest from an end part of the electric wire, a distance between the press contact bodies that is a pair closer to the end part of the electric wire than the pair at the farthest section are, is smaller.

LIGHTING APPARATUS
20220113015 · 2022-04-14 ·

A lighting apparatus includes a wire connector, a driver and a light source. The wire connector is used for connecting an external wire and an internal wire. The external wire includes a first external sub-wire and a second external sub-wire. The internal wire includes a first internal sub-wire and a second sub-wire. The wire connector has a scraper for cutting contact parts of the internal wire and the external wire for the first external sub-wire to be electrically connected to the first internal sub-wire and the second external sub-wire to be electrically connected to the second internal sub-wire. The driver is used for connecting to an external power via the internal wire and the external wire and for converting the external power to a driving current. The light source receives the driving current to emit a light.

Insulation Displacement Contact and Insulation Displacement Contact Assembly For High Performance Electrical Connections

An insulation displacement contact is for piercing through an insulation of a cable or wire in a cutting direction and electrically contacting an electrically conductive core of the cable or wire. The insulation displacement contact includes a contact body having a piercing section for piercing the insulation and a contact slot receiving the core of the cable or wire. The contact slot extends along the cutting direction from the piercing section into the contact body. The contact body has a pair of blades separated by the contact slot. The blades have a pair of attachment slots extending from the piercing section into the blades.

Cable Terminating Assembly With Electrically Insulating Cutting Blades

A cable terminating assembly for terminating a cable having a wire includes a wire manager having an end face facing in an insertion direction and a connector housing with a reception opening receiving at least a part of the wire manager. The end face holds the wire in a predetermined position along the insertion direction. The connector housing has a cutting blade formed by an electrically insulating material. The cutting blade cuts the wire upon insertion of the wire manager into the connector housing.

Contact member for an IDC terminal, contact member assembly, set of contact members and housing comprising a contact member

A contact member for an insulation displacement contact (IDC) terminal includes an encasement wall at least partially surrounding a receptacle volume receiving a wire or cable, an IDC member having an IDC blade penetrating an insulation of the wire or cable and a contact edge electrically contacting a core of the wire or cable, and a cutting blade cutting the wire or cable. The receptacle volume has an opening at least partially framed by the encasement wall. The IDC member is formed in a first wall section of the encasement wall. The cutting blade is formed in a second wall section of the encasement wall opposite the first wall section. Both the IDC blade and the cutting blade face the opening.
