Electrical connection bails and stirrup systems and methods including same
A bail for forming a mechanical and electrical connection includes an inboard section and an outboard section. The inboard section includes an elongate, electrically conductive multi-strand conductor. The outboard section includes an elongate, electrically conductive solid rod conductor electrically connected to the multi-strand conductor.
Conductor connecting structure with a screw member retaining portion
A conductor connecting structure includes: first and second conductors having terminal portions; a support having recessed portions; first screw members accommodated in the recessed portions; and second screw members that co-fasten the terminal portions of the first and the second conductors by screwing to the first screw members. The recessed portions have first and second wall surfaces that face each other in an opposing direction, and restricting surfaces along the opposing direction to restrict the rotation of the first screw members. The first and second wall surfaces configure a retaining portion to retain the first screw member before being screwed, and an allowable portion located closer to the inlet of the recessed portion. The distance between the first and the second wall surfaces in the allowable portion is greater than the distance in the retaining portion.
CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY FOR CONNECTION TO A VEHICLE ELECTRICAL GROUND
A connector assembly for providing electrical connection from an electrical device ground wire to a vehicle chassis ground comprises a wire connector, a cable, and a surface connector. The wire connector is configured to receive the electrical device ground wire. The cable is electrically connected to the ground wire. The surface connector is coupled to the cable and configured to attach to a vehicle chassis. The surface connector includes a conductive disc, an outer insulating ring, and an inner insulating ring. The conductive disc is electrically connected to the cable and includes a central opening configured to receive a fastener which attaches the surface connector to the chassis. The inner insulating ring, a portion of the lower surface of the conductive disc, and the outer insulating ring form a hermetically sealed chamber with the chassis when the surface connector is attached to the chassis.
Terminal and terminal fixing structure
A terminal includes: a flat surface portion; an extending portion continuous with the flat surface portion; a branch portion continuous with the extending portion and extending in a direction different from that in which the extending portion extends; and rotation stop portions continuous with the branch portion. When the terminal is attached to a bolt protruding from a fixing member and including a seat separated from the fixing member, the flat surface portion contacts the seat, the rotation stop portions extend from the branch portion toward a base end of the bolt in a protruding direction of the bolt, and at least a pair of the rotation stop portions are positioned to sandwich the seat in a direction intersecting the protruding direction to prevent rotation of the terminal with respect to the bolt.
Electrical Connection Element for a Form-Fitted or Welding Attachment to a Sheet Metal Part
An electrical connection element for a form-fitted or welding attachment to a sheet metal part and for receiving a cable connection device is characterized by a metallic ring that surrounds a contact region and that closely contacts the contact region by means of a permanent ring stress produced in the ring. The ring has an outer surface that forms a contact surface for the cable connection device.
Battery pack
A battery pack is provided. The battery pack includes a battery cell, an input/output terminal electrically connected to the battery cell, the input/output terminal including an upper end portion and a lower end portion in a first direction, and a charge/discharge current of the battery cell being input and output through the input/output terminal, a connector electrically coupled to the input/output terminal, the connector including a fastening portion coupled to the input/output terminal at a fastened height between the upper end portion and the lower end portion of the input/output terminal, and a slider which is slidable in a second direction crossing the first direction, between a first position, at which the slider covers the fastening portion, and a second position, at which the slider exposes the fastening portion, and a fastening member electrically coupling the input/output terminal and the connector to each other.
TERMINAL POST ASSEMBLY FOR TERMINATION OF ELECTRICAL TERMINALS WITHOUT THE NEED FOR TOOLING
A terminal post assembly for connecting at least one electrical terminal to a substrate. The terminal post assembly includes a terminal post which has a substrate mounting portion, a terminal receiving portion and a cap receiving portion. The substrate mounting portion has a base and a securing portion which is dimensioned to extend through a mounting opening of the substrate. The terminal receiving portion is configured to receive the at least one electrical terminal thereon and make an electrical connection to the at least one electrical terminal. The cap receiving portion has a cap positioned thereon. the cap cooperates with the at least one electrical terminal to retain the at least one electrical terminal in position on the terminal receiving portion to maintain the electrical connection between the at least one electrical terminal and the terminal receiving portion of the terminal post of the terminal post assembly.
Electrical wiring device with flexible terminal for eliminating connection to ground
An electrical wiring system providing selectable referencing to earth ground having a housing having a first terminal for attachment to HOT, a second terminal for attachment to LOAD, and a flexible terminal having a first leg mounted to the electrical wiring device and a second leg connected to the first leg via a flexible joint, wherein the relative distance between the first leg and the second leg is adjustable between an extended position and a retracted position by flexing the flexible joint. The flexible joint being biased in the extended position, wherein the first leg defines a first aperture and the second leg defines a second aperture, and a load control circuit disposed within the housing and receiving a line input from the first terminal and a reference input. The reference input being referenced to the electric potential of the flexible terminal.
