An electrical bus bar assembly includes a first bus bar segment, a second bus bar segment separated from the first bus bar segment, and a first plurality of bearings formed of an electrically conductive material and in electrical contact with the first bus bar segment and the second bus bar segment. The first plurality of bearings is configured to allow the first bus bar segment to move relative to the second bus bar segment. A method of manufacturing such an electrical bus bar assembly is also provided.

Method of connecting an electrically connecting cable to a splice

A cable splice includes a casing, a guide, and a pilot cup. The casing has a first opening and an interior cavity. The guide includes a receiving end and a shaft extending at least partially into the interior cavity. The pilot cup is integrally formed with the guide and frangibly connected to the shaft. The cable splice may also include a clamp positioned in the interior cavity and moveable between a loading position and a terminated position. A biasing member urges the clamp into the terminated position. During movement of the clamp from the loading position to the terminated position, the clamp contacts the guide causing at least a portion of the shaft to exit the interior cavity. The guide may also include a rib and a slot allowing the guide to fit in casings having different sized interior cavities.

A cable splice includes a casing having a central portion and a first end including a first aperture. The casing defines an interior cavity. A jaw assembly is positioned in the interior cavity and moveable between a loading position and a terminated position for engaging a conductor. A biasing member biases the jaw assembly toward the terminated position. The jaw assembly includes a jaw member having a jaw body, a curvilinear projection extending from the jaw body and a curvilinear groove extending into the jaw body. The projection and groove are aligned with one another and configured to mate with a respective groove and projection of an adjacent jaw member.

Clamping spring and conductor connection terminal

A clamping spring of a conductor connection terminal for connecting an electrical conductor by means of spring-loaded clamping, wherein the clamping spring has a support leg to fix the clamping spring in the conductor connection terminal, a spring bend adjoining the support leg, and a clamping leg adjoining the spring bend, wherein the clamping leg is arranged to clamp the electrical conductor by means of its free end, wherein the clamping leg has at least one corrugation stamped into the material of the clamping leg. A conductor connection terminal with such a clamping spring is also provided.
