Apparatus for making electrically conductive contact
Apparatus for making electrically conductive contact with an electrically conductive, elongated, body, for example a pipe or cable. Apparatus includes a base body having a metal carrier element configured as a clamp clampable around body to be contacted, and open in circumferential direction. Apparatus includes a connecting device with a connecting member, by which ends of carrier element are connectable or connected to one another when mounted. Apparatus has a contact device for establishing electrically conductive connection between body contacted and conductor, such as grounding cable. A connecting member configured for cooperating with a guide device for guiding translatory motion of connecting member, and situated at free ends of carrier element so that in mounted position of apparatus, translatory motion of the connecting member between a guide start and a guide end of guide device achieves a nondestructively detachable form fit, connecting free ends of the carrier element.
Connector for rotating electric machine with conductor, insulating layer, and outer conductive layer for grounding
A rotating electric machine includes a rotation body driven to rotate, an accommodation body housing the rotation body, a first power-supply member electrically connected to a positive electrode of a power source, a second power-supply member electrically connected to a negative electrode of the power source, an insulation layer contacting outer peripheral surfaces of the first and second power-supply members, and a conductive layer contacting the insulation layer on an opposite side of the insulation layer from the outer peripheral surfaces of the first and second power-supply members. The conductive layer is electrically connected to the accommodation body.
Grounding cross connectors including clamping pads for coupling at least two conductors
Various implementations of grounding cross connectors are disclosed. The grounding cross connectors may be used to clamp together two or more, often perpendicular, conductors. In some implementations, a grounding cross connector includes an upper clamping pad and a lower clamping pad held together by a pair of threaded fasteners. A pair of perpendicular conductors may be placed in between the clamping pads and secured together by torqueing nuts on the threaded fasteners. The upper clamping pad may include a hook through which one of the threaded fasteners may pass, thereby allowing the upper clamping to rotate relative to the lower clamping pad.
HOSE CLAMP
For the fastening of the shielding of a cable having a conductor, an insulation surrounding the conductor and an outer shielding, there is disclosed a band clamp having an insulating coating. Measures are taken to make the coating robust and durable and to prevent contact corrosion on the shielding and the band clamp.
CONFIGURABLE SAFETY GROUND TERMINALS FOR INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS
A safety ground terminal apparatus can include a ground terminal operable to switch between a common ground connection or a isolated ground connection, wherein the ground terminal comprises a hinge point that is connectable to a base of a housing via a rail in an arrangement that allows for a disconnection from the common ground connection when the isolated ground connection is required and without compromising electrical contact. The ground terminal can provide a watertight ground connection irrespective of the type of ground connection requirement. The common ground connection or the isolated ground connection can be achieved without any additional parts assembled.
TERMINAL AND TERMINAL FIXING STRUCTURE
A terminal includes: a flat surface portion; an extending portion continuous with the flat surface portion; a branch portion continuous with the extending portion and extending in a direction different from that in which the extending portion extends; and rotation stop portions continuous with the branch portion. When the terminal is attached to a bolt protruding from a fixing member and including a seat separated from the fixing member, the flat surface portion contacts the seat, the rotation stop portions extend from the branch portion toward a base end of the bolt in a protruding direction of the bolt, and at least a pair of the rotation stop portions are positioned to sandwich the seat in a direction intersecting the protruding direction to prevent rotation of the terminal with respect to the bolt.
GROUNDING CLAMP WITH LATERAL ANTI-TWIST PROTECTION
A grounding clamp includes a plate having a first and second opposite longitudinal edges extending in a first direction, and first and second opposite transverse edges extending perpendicularly to the longitudinal edges in a second direction. First and second cable fastening region extend along the first and second transeverse edges, respectively, and are configured to fasten and electrically contact first and second cables to the plate, respectively. An opening is arranged between the cable fastening regions for inserting a fastener. An arm extends from the first or second longitudinal edge in the second direction so that the arm runs parallel to the first and/or second cable fastening region. A tab extends at a free end of the arm parallel to the first and/or second longitudinal edge and perpendicularly to a plane of the plate in a direction of an underside of the plate.
CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY
A connector assembly for electrically connecting a vehicle electrical system to a vehicle ground plane includes: a housing having a first aperture arranged to receive a stud, an electrical connector disposed within the housing and arranged to be electrically connected to the stud, and a radial seal disposed around a periphery of the first aperture, the radial seal being arranged to provide a seal between the stud and the housing.
IMPROVED CABLE GROUNDING ASSEMBLIES FOR TELECOMMUNICATIONS ENCLOSURES
Devices, assemblies and methods for fixing and grounding telecommunications cables entering telecommunications closures. A plurality of cable fixation units are independently conductively coupled to components of a grounding assembly with conductive couplers. The conductive couplers are attached to a grounding bar that is fixed relative to the cable fixation units.
