HIGH FREQUENCY ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY
A connector assembly that includes a receptacle with inner and outer shells which have a front end for mating with a mating connector and a back end configured to connect to a printed circuit board. Receptacle primary and secondary ground connections are located on one of the shells. A plug with an outer shell that supports a pin contact to mate with the socket contact. The outer shell of the plug has a front end for mating with the front end of the receptacle and a back end that is configured to connect to a coaxial cable. Plug primary and secondary ground connections are located on the outer shell. When the receptacle and plug are mated, the primary ground connections form a primary grounding path through the assembly and the secondary ground connections form a secondary grounding path through the assembly, thereby electrically connecting the plug with the board.
NUT SEAL CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY
An assembly for a coaxial connector is described. The assembly, in one embodiment, includes a coupler, a grip ring and a seal.
NUT SEAL ASSEMBLY FOR COAXIAL CABLE SYSTEM COMPONENTS THAT PROVIDES A MECHANICALLY SECURE WATERPROOF SEAL
A cable connecting and sealing component for use in a connector including: a seal portion having a seal engagement portion; and a connector portion having a seal receiving connector portion configured to receive the seal engagement portion and a seal compression connector portion that is configured to sealingly compress the seal engagement portion when the connector portion and the seal portion are assembled. The seal engagement portion is configured to biasingly resist axial separation of the seal portion and the connector portion when the seal engagement portion is compressed by the seal compression connector portion so as to provide an environmental seal between the seal portion and the connector portion during operation of the assembly.
CONNECTOR FOR HARDLINE COAXIAL CABLE
A coaxial cable connector includes a nut housing having a rearward cable receiving end and a forward end opposite said rearward end, a front nut assembly coupled to the forward end of the nut housing, and a conductive metal tubular insert shaft supported within the nut housing or the front nut assembly. The front nut assembly includes an entry body housing and a conductive terminal pin extending from a forward end of the front nut assembly, and the conductive metal tubular insert shaft has a rearward end portion. A nonconductive plastic tubular support sleeve has a forward end portion coupled with the rearward end portion of the conductive metal tubular insert shaft, a tubular gripping ferrule radially surrounds the metal insert shaft and the plastic support sleeve, and a tubular outer sleeve radially surrounds at least a portion of said gripping ferrule. The gripping ferrule and the tubular outer sleeve are configured to be moved relative to one another in an axial direction such that the gripping ferrule and the tubular outer sleeve are configured to engage one another, thereby causing the gripping ferrule to radially compress around the conductive metal tubular insert shaft and the nonconductive plastic tubular support sleeve.
Coaxial connector having a grounding member
A cable connector includes an outer conductor engager portion configured to receive an end of a coaxial cable, a coupler portion connected with the outer conductor engager portion, and a radially compressible grounding portion at a forward end of the outer conductor engager portion. The radially compressible grounding portion is configured to be radially compressed when the coupler portion is coupled with an interface port and to establish an electrical grounding path between the outer conductor engager portion and the interface port, even when the coupler portion is only loosely coupled with the interface port.
Body clamp connector
A coaxial cable connector includes a shoe that is movable in a sidewall of a body of the connector and/or a continuity bus.
Device for interconnecting cables
A device is provided for interconnecting cables having a core strand and at least one layer of strands coaxially surrounding the core strand comprises a central tightening member; first and second cylindrical segments having an opening for insertion of an end of a cable and being tightenably connected to the tightening member. An inner conical member is arranged within each cylindrical segment, having a central bore arranged for insertion of an end of the core strand and further having an outer sloping surface on which a layer of strands coaxially surrounding the core strand may be positioned. A cylindrical end piece is arranged within each cylindrical segment, having a central bore arranged for insertion of the cable and further having an inner sloping surface on which a layer of strands coaxially surrounding the core strand may be positioned.
Enhanced electrical grounding of hybrid feedthrough connectors
An RF Connector and grounding device therefor comprises a driver, a contact ring and a spring clamp having a split ring washer disposed therebetween. The split ring washer interposes the driver on one side of the washer and the contact ring on the other side thereof and defines an aperture for receiving a prepared end of a coaxial cable. The washer is connected to one side of an annular ring while a shouldered flange is disposed on the opposing side of the ring. Upon delivering a compressive clamping force to a compression cap, the split ring washer is captured between adjacent peaks or corrugations of the outer conductor.
COAXIAL CABLE CONNECTOR
A coaxial cable connector includes an inner sleeve, a first outer sleeve, a nut, and a second outer sleeve. The outer surface of inner sleeve is stepladder-like and the inner sleeve surrounds an axial line. The inner sleeve includes a first surface and a second surface. The head portion of the first outer sleeve surrounds the first surface of the inner sleeve. The inner flange of the nut surrounds the second surface of the inner sleeve, and the inner flange has an inclined surface arranged angularly to the axial line. The second outer sleeve is sleeved on the end portion of the first outer sleeve. When the second outer sleeve moves toward the nut axially, the inner peripheral surface of the second outer sleeve presses against the end portion of the first outer sleeve so that the first outer sleeve is compressed toward the axial line.
