Modular plug connector for a printed circuit board

A modular plug connector in a strip-shaped design can be plugged together with a corresponding mating plug connector such as a printed circuit board plug connector. The modular plug connector has a plurality of plug connector modules which are arranged alongside one another and are connected mechanically to one another using mechanical connectors to form the strip shape. The plug connector modules each have a module housing, at least one plugging surface with at least one plugging contact and preferably at least one conductor or solder terminal for connection to a printed circuit board. The plug connector has at least two plug connector modules of different designs and an adapter plug connector module is provided therebetween.

An electrical connector includes a first insulating body, a conductive unit, a cable and a second insulating body. The cable includes a transverse portion fixed to the conductive unit and a longitudinal portion bent from the transverse portion. The second insulating body includes a rear wall. The electrical connector includes a filling cavity between the first insulating body and the rear wall. A connection position of the cable and the conductive unit is located in the filling cavity. The rear wall includes an opening communicating with the filling cavity. The longitudinal portion of the cable at least partially corresponds to the opening, so as to reduce the compression of the cable by the rear wall and improve reliability. The electrical connector includes a filling block filled in the filling cavity. A method for manufacturing the electrical connector is also disclosed.

Backplane interconnect system employing floating backplane interconnects for coupling a backplane with blade computer systems

Backplane employing floating backplane network interconnects for electrical coupling with blade computer systems and related methods. To provide a displacement tolerant interconnection system between the backplane interconnects and respective blade backplane interconnects of blade computer systems to establish electrical connections therebetween, the backplane interconnects are provided as floating backplane interconnections. The floating backplane interconnects are configured to move and be displaced relative to the backplane while still retaining an electrical connection to the backplane. The backplane interconnects each include one or more flex circuits connected to electrical interconnects on the backplane on a first end, and electrical interconnects on a backplane connector on a second end. The flex circuit(s) include an electrical cable that includes a polymer or other material surrounding electrical wires to allow the flex circuit and its internal electrical wires to bend and flex, and thus move relative to backplane.

The conductive terminals includes a number of first signal terminals and a number of second signal terminals. Each tail portion of the first signal terminals includes a connection portion. The adapter circuit board includes a first insertion portion and a second insertion portion. The first insertion portion includes a number of first mating conductive pads in contact with the tail portions of the second signal terminals. The second insertion portion includes a number of second mating conductive pads for mating with a mating electrical connector. A connector assembly having the electrical connector is also disclosed.

The present invention relates to an electrical conductor connector, comprises: an insulating body, a contact member and an actuation lever. A plurality of inserting openings are provided in the insulating body. The contact member comprises a busbar and a wire connection clamp. The actuation lever comprises an actuation portion for cooperating with the wire connection clamp and a flip portion, wherein the actuation portion is provided with a cam, a stop wall is provided inside the insulating body for contacting the cam. When the flip portion is flipped, the actuation lever swings and moves jointly through the contour of the cam and a contact surface of the stop wall, so a relative displacement is generated between the insulating body and the actuation lever. A contact point is generated between the surface of wire connection clamp and the actuation portion, and the position of the contact point will be changed continuously.

Retainer for securing a connection

A system is disclosed that is configured to secure a connection between a component and at least one wire, such as an antenna, within a computer. The system includes a retainer configured to move between a first position and a second position. The retainer in the first position is configured to secure a connection between at least one connector of the component and the at least one wire within the computer. The retainer in the second position is configured to permit release of the connection between the at least one connector of the component and the at least one wire within the computer, such as by providing access to the connection.
