EXPANSION CARD ASSEMBLY AND CONNECTOR
20230268681 · 2023-08-24 · ·

An expansion card assembly, including an expansion card body and a connector. The expansion card body includes a notch recessed into an edge thereof. The connector includes a housing. The housing includes a top surface, a bottom surface, and an engaging portion disposed on the bottom surface. The bottom surface is close to the expansion card body. The engaging portion is exposed out of the notch. The engaging portion connects the connector with an external power cord. A user operates the engaging portion at the bottom surface of the housing of the connector with fingers. Therefore, the expansion card assembly and the connector solve the problem that the too narrow space between the top surface of the housing and the other components makes it difficult for the user to stretch fingers into the space between the top surface of the housing and the other component.

Electrical connector with floating contacts each with multiple impedances

A connector (10) according to the present disclosure includes an insulator to be fitted to a connection object (60), and contacts (50) attached to the insulator. Each of the contacts (50) includes a contact portion (59), a first elastic portion (54A), a first adjustment portion (54B1), and a second adjustment portion (54B2). The contact portion (59) electrically contacts the connection object (60) when the insulator and the connection object (60) are fitted together. The first elastic portion (54A) is elastically deformable and extends from a first base (51) supported by the insulator. The first adjustment portion (54B1) is formed continuously with the first elastic portion (54A) and has an electric conductivity higher than that of the first elastic portion (54A). The second adjustment portion (54B2) is formed continuously with the first adjustment portion (54B1) and has an electric conductivity lower than that of the first adjustment portion (54B1).

Electrical connector

An electrical connector includes a first conductive terminal, a second conductive terminal, an insulated body integrally molded on the first conductive terminal and the second conductive terminal, and a metallic shell on the insulated body. The insulated body includes a first tongue portion and a second tongue portion aligned side by side. The first conductive terminal is provided with a first contact portion. The second conductive terminal is provided with a second contact portion. The metallic shell includes a first cylinder portion provided with a first space and a second cylinder portion provided with a second space. The first cylinder portion surrounding the first tongue portion and the second cylinder portion surrounding the second tongue portion share a dividing portion for separating the first space from the second space, so that the two electrical connection ports of the electrical connector are independent and avoid mutual influence between the two electrical connection ports.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR WITH SHIELDING BETWEEN LOW AND HIGH FREQUENCY TERMINALS AND ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR DEVICE USING THE SAME

A connector includes plural terminals, a housing holding the terminals, and an inner shield. The connector is configured to be connected to a mating connector by moving toward the mating connector in a first direction relatively with respect to the mating connector. The terminals include two terminals arranged on both sides of the inner shield in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. The inner shield includes a base extending in a third direction perpendicular to the first direction and the second direction, and an extension protruding from the base. The housing includes a shield holder holding the extension. This connector reduces noise propagation between the terminals.

Electrical connector having a ground bus
