LASER DIRECT STRUCTURED CONNECTION FOR INTRAVASCULAR DEVICE
20180301857 · 2018-10-18 ·

The invention generally relates to intravascular imaging catheters and methods of making catheters for imaging systems. The invention provides a connector for an imaging catheter that includes a unitary body with very thin electrical contacts that are formed on the surface of the body. Due to the scale of the contacts, the connector operates essentially as a single unitary piece of material. Each of the leads may be less than about 100 m wide and less than about 8 m thick, and further the leads may be spaced apart by less than about 160 m.

Electrical connector

An electrical connector includes an insulating housing, a plurality of conductive terminals fastened to the insulating housing, and a shielding element surrounding the insulating housing. The insulating housing has at least one docking surface. Each of the plurality of the conductive terminals has an extending portion. A surface of the extending portion of each of the plurality of the conductive terminals forms an insulation layer. The shielding element has a base body. At least one portion of a front surface of the base body protrudes frontward to form at least one sealing board attached to a rear of the at least one docking surface. The insulation layer of the extending portion of each of the plurality of the conductive terminals is exposed to the at least one docking surface, and is adjacent to and projects beyond a front surface of the at least one sealing board.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING AT LEAST ONE SPRING CONTACT PIN OR A SPRING CONTACT PIN ARRANGEMENT, AND CORRESPONDING DEVICES

A method for producing at least one spring contact pin acting as an electrical contact, or a spring contact pin arrangement comprises at least one such spring contact pin. The following steps are provided: producing at least one base part of the spring contact pin, at least one section of said base part being made of plastic, and subsequently metallizing at least the section of the base part that is made of plastic. The invention also relates to a spring contact pin produced to according to said method, or a spring contact pin arrangement having at least one such spring contact pin.

Provided is a press-fit terminal configured to secure a warp of press-contact portions and reduce insertion force required to insert the press-contact portion into the through hole, without increasing the number of components and manufacturing costs. In a press-fit terminal one end portion of a Rod-Shaped Metal Member (RSMM) is provided with press-contact portions configured to be press-fitted into a through hole of a printed board and electrically connected to a conductor, and the other end portion of the rod-shaped metal member includes a connection portion configured to be connected to a partner member, the one end portion of the RSMM has: squashed portions; and the press-contact portions that protrude outward from the squashed portions, and each press-contact portion is configured to deform in a circumferential direction of the RSMM due to contact pressure applied when the press-contact portions are pressed against the through hole.

ENERGY HARVESTERS, ENERGY STORAGE, AND RELATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS

A textile construct has a first fiber configured to convert one or more forms of ambient energy to an electrical potential. A plurality of second fibers are mechanically coupled with the first fiber to define a textile. An electrical connector operatively couples to the first fiber to convey the electrical potential to a complementarily configured electrical device. An energy-harvesting platform can have such a textile construct. The complementarily configured electrical device can be a platform accessory.

Connecting Conductor
20180040991 · 2018-02-08 ·

A connecting-conductor is disclosed. The connecting-conductor may have a first conductor-element and a second conductor-element. Each conductor-element has a first end that is mechanically-connected and electrically-conductively connected to a resistor-element. The resistor-element has an electrical-insulating substrate, and a resistive material annularly disposed on at least part of the electrical-insulating substrate. The first end of each conductor-element is electrically-conductively connected to the resistive material. The first conductor does not touch the second conductor, and an electrical pathway is created via the resistive material from one of the conductor-elements to the other of the conductor-elements.

Contact

A contact preventing a plurality of current paths joining together and having a contact main body having a wire fixing portion and a contacting member which is a member formed separately from the contact main body is provided. The contact has a contact main body having a wire fixing portion to which a wire is fixed and a contacting member formed separately from the contact main body and configured to be connected to the wire and contact with a mating contact. A portion of the contact main body, contacting with the contacting member has an insulation layer.
