CONNECTOR WITH ASYMMETRIC BASE SECTION
An electrical contact includes a base that includes first and second side edges, and a forward edge that extends between the first and second side edges. At least one contact arm extends from the forward edge of the base for making electrical contact with a contact pad. Each of the first and second side edges defines one or more protrusions configured to engage an interior portion of a connector housing for securing the electrical contact within the connector housing. The one or more protrusions on the first side edge are asymmetrically arranged with respect to the one or more protrusions on the second side edge such that respective centers of each of the one or more protrusions on the first side edge are misaligned with respective centers of each of the one or more protrusions on the second side edge.
CONNECTOR AND CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY
A connector comprises a plurality of terminals and a housing. The housing has an interposing portion extends in an up-down direction. The interposing portion has a first side portion and a second side portion in a width direction perpendicular to the up-down direction. Each of the terminals has an insertion end portion and a second extending portion. The second side portion has an allowance portion and a restriction portion. The allowance portion is nearer to the insertion end portion than the restriction portion in the up-down direction. The connector has a gap between the allowance portion and the second extending portion in the width direction. The allowance portion allows partial movement of the second extending portion into the gap. The restriction portion is in contact with the second extending portion in the width direction without any gap and thereby restricts movement of the second extending portion in the width direction.
ELECTRICAL ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR WITH RESISTING PORTIONS AND METHOD OF MAKING SAME
An electrical connector includes: a housing defining a first face and a second face opposite to the first face, plural grooves through the first face and the second face in an upper-lower direction, and plural positioning slots corresponding to the grooves; and plural terminals arranged in a matrix and retained in the housing, each terminal comprising a main portion, a first elastic arm extending toward the first face from the main portion, and a connecting portion extending towards the second face from the main portion, the first elastic arm defining a first contact portion protruding beyond the first face, wherein the main portions are received in the positioning slots, the housing defines a resisting portion at the first face near each positioning slot, and the resisting portions restrict the main portions from moving toward the first face of the housing.
CONNECTOR
A connector includes a plurality of contacts each including first and second contact pieces provided with first and second contact portions at distal end sides, respectively, that come into contact with conductor portions of two insertable/removable connection objects when the connection objects are inserted, and a connection portion to be connected and secured to a board. The connector further includes a housing that holds the contacts in an array and includes an insertion opening of a shape that allows insertion of the connection objects and a battery from a same direction, and a terminal is arranged in the housing and spaced apart from the contacts in a width direction of the housing, the terminal including third and fourth contact pieces provided with third and fourth contact portions on distal end sides, respectively, configured to come into contact with the conductor portion of one of the connection objects and the battery.

Electrical connector and method for manufacturing same
An electrical connector includes at least one conductive terminal mounted to a housing. The conductive terminal has a body, two elastic arms formed by extending upward from the body, a conducting portion connected below the body and having a strip connecting portion to be connected to a first strip, and a connecting portion provided at an upper end of the body to be connected to a second strip to assist mounting and located between the two elastic arms. A method for manufacturing the electrical connector includes: forming at least one conductive terminal and a first strip connected thereto; connecting a second strip to the connecting portion of the conductive terminal; disconnecting the conducting portion of the conductive terminal and the first strip; operating the second strip to control the conductive terminal to be mounted to a housing; and releasing a control force of the second strip onto the conductive terminal.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR WITH BETTER ANT-EMI EFFECT
An electrical connector includes an insulative housing, a plurality of conductive terminals retained in the insulative housing and two grounding members. The insulative housing defines an upper sidewall, a lower sidewall and two end walls connected to both ends of the upper and lower sidewalls to form a mating cavity. Each grounding member defines a body portion fixed to the insulative housing and a plurality of contacting arms extending forward from the body portion. Each contacting arm defines a pair of wing portions located on both sides thereof, and the upper and lower sidewalls define a plurality of channels and a plurality of receiving slots. The contacting arms of the grounding member are running through the channels and projecting into the mating cavity, and the wing portions are abutted against the bottom surfaces of the receiving slots to form a pre-pressure to the contacting arms.
