The flange defines a plurality of openings. A sleeve assembly includes a sleeve and a flange disposed on an end of the sleeve. The flange on the sleeve defines a plurality of openings. The openings in the flange on the handle body are aligned with the openings in the flange on the sleeve. A contact assembly is disposed, at least partially, in the sleeve of the sleeve assembly. The contact assembly includes a contact holder and a plurality of contacts coupled to the contact holder. Fasteners extend through the aligned openings in the flanges to secure the handle body assembly to the sleeve assembly.

MODULAR PLUG

A plug for use in an electrical connector system includes a handle body assembly comprising a handle body and a flange disposed on an end of the handle body. The flange defines a plurality of openings. A sleeve assembly includes a sleeve and a flange disposed on an end of the sleeve. The flange on the sleeve defines a plurality of openings. The openings in the flange on the handle body are aligned with the openings in the flange on the sleeve. A contact assembly is disposed, at least partially, in the sleeve of the sleeve assembly. The contact assembly includes a contact holder and a plurality of contacts coupled to the contact holder. Fasteners extend through the aligned openings in the flanges to secure the handle body assembly to the sleeve assembly.

Electrical Plug Connector and Method for Assembling an Electrical Plug Connector

A connector includes a housing defining a first receiving space and a second receiving space, a conductive electrical connecting element arranged in the second receiving space, a retaining element engaging around at least portions of the electrical connecting element and a contact-securing insert arranged in the first receiving space. The conductive electrical connecting element includes a contact sleeve adapted to connect to a contact pin, and an electrical contact adapted to connect to an electrical conductor. The contact-securing insert fixing the electrical connecting element and the retaining element within the housing in an axial direction of the electrical connecting element.

A network-controllable cooling fan can have a recessed connector port with an internal tongue that defines an edge connector having a plurality of electrical contacts. The tongue can also define a plurality of electrically conductive tracks that electrically couple with the electrical contacts. Control logic can have a plurality of electrical connections and a logic bus that electrically couples the electrical connections of the control logic with the electrically conductive tracks defined by the tongue. An electrical biscuit-connector with internal electrical interconnections can join the network-controllable cooling fan with another network-controllable cooling fan, extending the logic bus while obscuring the electrical interconnections from a user’s view.
