Connector assembly and home appliance including the connector assembly
A connector assembly includes a cap housing in which a first terminal is disposed, a plug in which a second terminal is disposed, and a terminal position assurance (TPA) member. The plug has a first end portion and a second end portion opposite the first end portion. The second end portion is inserted into the cap housing. A first end portion of the cap housing and the first end portion of the plug to which a wire is connected are each a coupling target. The TPA member is disposed at the coupling target. The TPA member includes a first block and a second block partitioned from one another in a circumferential direction of the wire.
Plug-in connector with ground terminal region
A heavy-duty plug-in connector has a ground terminal that can be conveniently assembled and can comprise the greatest possible number of electrical crimp plug-in contacts (4,5). For this purpose, ground plug-in contacts (4′, 5′), likewise of a crimping configuration, are fitted in formations (13, 13′, 23, 23′) of the contact carriers (1, 2) for electrical contacting with metallic protective earthing elements (3, 3′, 3″, 3″). For said contacting, the formations (13, 13′, 23, 23′) have a respective opening (130, 130′) or passage (230, 230′). In the formations (13, 13′, 23, 23′), not only ground plug-in contacts (4′, 5′) but also further plug-in contacts (4, 5) are arranged, so that the number of plug-in contacts (4, 5) of the plug-in connector is increased considerably.
CONNECTOR
Included are terminal metal parts mounted on ends of electric wires, a housing housing the terminal metal parts at a housing completion position thereinside and to be inserted and fit into a counterpart fitting portion headed by a tip, a terminal locking member mounted on the housing from outside along a direction crossing an insertion direction of the housing to the counterpart fitting portion and locking the terminal metal parts as they are at the housing completion position at a mounting completion position with respect to the housing, and a front holder causing the housing to be inserted headed by the tip and locking the terminal locking member at the mounting completion position.
Connector assembly with blocking member
A connector assembly and system assembling an electric connector assembly are provided. The connector assembly includes a connector housing having a plurality of terminal cavities greater than the predetermined number of electric connections so as to define an empty terminal cavity and a filled terminal cavity. The connector housing further includes a blocking member. The blocking member is the blocking member disposed within each of the empty terminal cavities. Accordingly, the blocking member closes off each of the empty terminal cavities so as to prevent fluid transfer between the terminal positioning assurance member and the connector positioning assurance member so as to prevent fluid and debris transfer between the terminal positioning assurance member and the connector positioning assurance member, or stated in another way, prevents fluid and debris transfer between the first open end and the second open end.
CONNECTOR
A connector composing one of two wire-to-wire connectors is provided. The connector includes a cylindrical outer housing having an insertion opening on one end for inserting the other connector of the two wire-to-wire connectors. The connector further includes an inner housing inserted into the outer housing via an assembly opening on the other end of the outer housing. The connector further includes a retainer inserted into the inner housing via a window hole provided in the cylindrical wall portion of the outer housing for locking a terminal in a detachment-preventing manner on the basis of a push-in operation after a wire with the terminal has been inserted into the terminal holding hole in the inner housing. The retainer enters first and second temporary locking states.
Joint connector
A joint connector, including: a connector housing; a joint terminal; a terminal holder; and a lock arm that is formed in an outer peripheral wall of the connector housing, in which a rear end portion of the terminal holder is provided with convex portions that protrude rearward from a rearmost end edge of the connector housing in a proper assembled state of the terminal holder with respect to the connector housing.
Method for improving clearance and creepage in a high voltage connector assembly using a male terminal position assurance (TPA) device
A method for improving clearance and creepage in a male high voltage connector assembly using a male terminal position assurance (TPA) device. The male high voltage connector assembly is highly suitable for high voltage electrical terminals, which are larger terminals. The method includes a step of allowing a clearance and creepage or electrical path to extend from at least a high voltage electrical terminal to a male outer housing of the high voltage connector assembly. When the TPA device is inserted and locked within a male inner housing of the high voltage connector assembly, the clearance and creepage or electrical path extends from the high voltage electrical terminal along at least a surface of the TPA device and to the male outer housing of the high voltage connector assembly. The male TPA device includes wing-like shape members with intermediate members that extend substantially and respectively downward from the wing-like shape members.

Contact retention plate for power connector assembly
A contact insertion machine includes a contact feeder having a feed finger configured to feed contacts of a power connector assembly in a feed direction along a feed track during a contact loading process. The contact insertion machine includes a power connector assembly holder holding a housing of the power connector assembly and movable relative to the feed track to position the housing to receive the contacts in a contact stack. The contact insertion machine includes a contact retention plate located upstream of the power connector assembly holder having a contact insertion port therethrough. The contact insertion port is aligned with the feed track downstream of the feed track. The power connector assembly holder is movable relative to the contact retention plate to position the housing to receive the contacts through the contact insertion port.
Electrical connector
An electrical connector comprises a body, a terminal positioning member provided at a rear end of the body and a first group of terminals mounted in terminal grooves of the body. The terminal positioning member comprises a first spacing rib and a second spacing rib. The first group of terminals comprises signal terminals and ground terminals. The signal terminals and the ground terminals each comprise a contact portion, a retaining portion and a tail portion, the retaining portion connecting the contact portion and the positioning portion, the positioning portion connecting the retaining portion and the tail portion. The first spacing rib extends between the positioning portions of the adjacent signal terminals, the second spacing rib extends between the positioning portion of the signal terminal and the positioning portion of the adjacent ground terminal and the first spacing rib is longer than the second spacing rib.
