Electrical terminal for mating with two coplanar tabs
An electrical terminal having a base section, a first contact leg and a second contact leg. The contact legs extend from the base section. The first contact leg has a first generally planar portion. A first curved resilient contact portion extends from a first side of the first planar portion, and a first positioning wall extending from a second side of the first planar portion. The first side of the first planar portion is opposed to the second side of the first planar portion. The second contact leg has a second generally planar portion. A second curved resilient contact portion extends from a first side of the second planar portion, and a second positioning wall extends from a second side of the second planar portion. The first side of the second planar portion is opposed to the second side of the second planar portion.
AC adapter having foldable prongs
A power adapter is disclosed with retractable prongs to engage an outlet and obtain power therefrom, when extended, and be partially or entirely within the housing of the power adapter when retracted. To ensure safe operation, a channel is provided within the power adapter to accommodate the prongs when retracted and to accommodate the prongs travel as they pivot between extended and retracted. The channel is width-limited and/or has a length to make it impossible or, at least, exceptionally difficult for a human finger to come into contact with the prongs while the prongs are extended and sufficiently engaged with an outlet to obtain power therefrom.
PLUG CONNECTOR WITH HIGH-VOLTAGE FLASHOVER PROTECTION
The invention relates to a plug-in connector (1) having a contact support (2) with at least two contact cavities (3), in each of which a contact partner is inserted and primarily locked. At least one locking tab (4) is provided and has at least one locking pin (6), and each respective contact partner is secondarily locked in its contact cavity (3) by means of a respective locking pin (6). The invention is characterized in that a slot (8) is arranged in the contact support (2) between two contact cavities (3), and the locking tab (4) has a rib (7), said rib (7) engaging into the slot (8) when the locking tab (4) is located on the contact support (2) in its intended position.
Foldable plug assembly
A plug assembly in which the insulator part can be moved from an unfolded state to a folded state. The insulator may be utilised in the unfolded state for assembly of a wiring loom and then folded into the folded state for insertion into a connector body.
Electrical cord cap with easy connect housing portions
An electrical connector body is provided includes first and second housing portions formed from molded plastic. The housing portions include first and second interface surfaces that are configured to butt against one another to define a housing and one or more electrical components are disposed within an interior of the housing. The one or more electrical components may comprise connectors of a male or female cord cap, an in-line surge suppression circuit, and/or a compact automatic transfer switch. In one implementation, each of the first and second connector body portions may include a strain relief extension for engaging an electrical cord and a compression member (3691) may be disposed over the strain relief extensions to secure together the first and second connector body portions. The compression member may be selected from a set of compression members based on a size of the electrical cord.
Apparatus and methods for insulating terminals of an electrical device
Apparatus for opposed terminals of an electrical device includes magnetic material carried by a cover formed of an electrically insulative material and concurrently covering the terminals, and a magnetic attraction between the magnetic material and the terminals magnetically coupling the cover to the terminals. In another embodiment, the apparatus includes covers formed of an electrically insulative material and connected by hinges to the electrical device for movement between open positions away from the terminals and closed positions covering the respective terminals.
Electrical connector assembly
A combined assembly of an electrically conductive structure and an electrical connector assembly includes an electrically conductive structure and an electrically connector assembly. The electrically connector assembly includes a housing defining an interior space and a locking arm. The interior space of the housing receives the electrically conductive structure. The locking arm is supported for movement relative to the housing from an unlocked position, wherein the locking arm does not retain the electrically conductive structure within the interior space, to a locked position, wherein the locking arm retains the electrically conductive structure within the interior space. An electrical contact is disposed within the housing and engages the electrically conductive structure retained within the interior space.
SEAL ELECTRICAL PLUG
A sealed electrical plug comprises at least one temperature sensor for monitoring an internal temperature of the electrical plug. The electrical plug further comprises a data cable that is wrapped by a shield for screening electrical noise so as to accurately capture and convey temperature data. The electrical plug further comprises a housing or holder for receiving the at least one temperature sensor, wherein the housing is capable of being embedded within an inner-mold of the electrical plug and positioned close to at least one pin. One or more seals may be placed at junctions between the at least one pin and the inner-mold and a cable for the data cable to seal the inner-mold from air, moisture and particles.
Connector protective KAP
Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing an enclosure for protecting at least one connector of a cable. In some embodiments, an enclosure comprises an enclosure housing. The enclosure housing includes a first part and a second part. The first part of the enclosure housing is attached to the second part of the enclosure housing. The first part of the enclosure housing and the second part of the enclosure housing together define a chamber to fully enclose a connector assembly and a connector housing the at least one connector of the cable. The enclosure includes at least one opening disposed at a first end of the enclosure housing. The at least one opening is configured to allow a boot of the at least one connector or the cable of the at least one connector to extend through the at least one opening.
Connector assembly with automatic connection completion detection structure
It is aimed to guarantee the connection of a connector by completing the assembling of a cover. A connector (10) of the present disclosure includes a first connector (20), a second connector (30) and a cover (40). The first connector (20) and the second connector (30) are connectable to each other and completely covered by the cover (40) in a completely connected state. The cover (40) includes a first cover (41) for accommodating the first connector (20) inside and a second cover (42) for accommodating the second connector (30) inside. The second cover (41) includes a pair of openable and closable second half covers (42U, 42L). The half cover (42U, 42L) includes a connection guaranteeing portion for coming into contact with the second connector (30) in the completely connected state from behind.
