The connection side of a high-current connector is provided with an insulating bush which is used to maintain the required air gaps and leakage distances between current-conducting and earth-connected parts while allowing a compact installation space.

Safety housing for alligator clip used in high amperage electrical applications

A protective housing for an alligator clip and the ends of electrical cables used for high amperage applications, which includes a relatively rigid, non-electrically conductive hollow housing defining an interior chamber configured and dimensioned to accommodate and fully enclose an alligator clip therewithin and having openings at opposite ends thereof which open onto the interior chamber therein to allow and accommodate one or more electrical cables to be inserted into and through the openings of the opposite ends of the housing to permit coupling thereof within the housing chamber with the alligator clip. The hollow housing is openable to allow for insertion and removal of an alligator clip and has an opening therethrough communicating with the internal chamber thereof. A non-electrically conductive button movably is mounted in the opening in the housing for reciprocal movement generally into and out of the chamber for opening and closing the alligator clip.

CONNECTOR STRUCTURE

A connector structure includes a hood formed in a housing and having a bottomed tubular shape, a mating hood formed in a mating housing and fitted inside the hood, a plate spring member made of metal and accommodated in a bottom of the hood, a playing regulating member, a mating hood tip end inclined surface formed at a tip end of the mating hood in a fitting direction and inclined to a tube inner side or a tube outer side, and a playing regulating protrusion. The playing regulating member is provided in an opposite side against the bottom with the plate spring member interposed therebetween and is urged by the plate spring member in a direction opposite to a fitting direction against the mating hood.

A connector is to be joined to a mating connector. The connector includes a terminal fitting including an electrical connection portion to be connected to a mating terminal of the mating connector, a housing including an insertion hole, the electrical connection portion inserted through the insertion hole and a rear holder attached to the housing such that the rear holder presses and holds the terminal fitting against the housing. The housing includes a reference surface to restrict the electrical connection portion, with a portion of the terminal fitting abutting the reference surface, from being further inserted into the insertion hole. The rear holder includes a pressing pin to press, when the rear holder is attached to the housing, the terminal fitting from a rear side of the terminal fitting such that the pressing pin is partially and plastically deformed and the terminal fitting is pressed against the reference surface.

Automatic ejection mechanism of connecting device

An automatic ejection mechanism of a connecting device includes an outer shell defining an accommodating space and including a rear cover covering a rear end of the accommodating space, a connector slidably received within the accommodating space, a fastening assembly located between the connector and the rear cover, and a resilient member located between the connector and the rear cover. The resilient member drives the connector to slide toward an opening of a front end of the accommodating space. The connector is received within the accommodating space by being fastened to the connector. The connector is ejected out of the opening of the front end by releasing the fastener from the connector.
