MOVABLE CONNECTOR

A movable connector disclosed in the present description includes: a connector having a housing; and a connector mounting part to which the housing is movably mounted. The housing is provided with at least one mounting pin constituted by a plurality of elastic pieces arranged in a circular ring, and the connector mounting part is provided with mounting recesses (mounting tubular portions) that hold the mounting pin in a state in which it is inserted into the corresponding mounting recess. The mounting pin is capable of relative movement inside the mounting recess in directions that intersect a direction in which the mounting pin is mounted into the mounting recess, and the mounting pin is provided on one or two of the outer peripheral sides of the housing.

In an interface apparatus, when a load is applied to a base member and a connector part is pushed onto an external connector, a spring contracts so that an interval between the base member and a holder is reduced. An inclined surface of a coupling member is separated from an inclined surface of the holder so that fixing of the holder by the coupling member is released and the coupling member can move freely inside a hollow section. As a result, the holder and the connector part can move freely in X-Y directions relative to the base member, and a terminal of a connector can be finely adjusted in the X-Y direction, thus being precisely aligned with the external connector.

Connector producing a biasing force

A connector includes, in one embodiment, a first component, a coupling element configured to engage the first component, and a second component configured to engage the first component. The second component, in one embodiment, is configured to produce a spring, pushing or biasing force.

CONNECTOR

A connector comprising a housing and a lever. The connector is mateable with and removable from a mating connector along a first direction by operation of the lever. The housing has an inner portion, an outer portion, at least one coupling portion, a pivot, a first portion and a second portion. The housing has a lever accommodating portion between the outer portion and the inner portion in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. The lever accommodating portion partially accommodates the lever. The pivot is positioned inside the lever accommodating portion. The pivot supports the lever so that the lever is rotatable. The at least one coupling portion has a bridge portion which is elastically deformable. The bridge portion is sandwiched between the first portion and the second portion in a plane perpendicular to the second direction.

Electrical connector assembly with impedance control at mating interface

An electrical connector assembly includes a module stack, a front housing, and a spring member. The module stack includes multiple contact modules disposed side by side. The module stack includes multiple signal contacts that project beyond a front side thereof. The front housing is mechanically coupled to the module stack at the front side and surrounds the signal contacts. The front housing defines cavities that receive mating contacts of a mating connector to engage the signal contacts. The front housing is movable relative to the module stack along a longitudinal axis of the electrical connector assembly between a retracted position and an extended position. The spring member is held between the module stack and the front housing. The spring member engages the module stack and the front housing to bias the front housing towards the extended position.

A connector with stationary housings, a movable housing, and terminals. The terminals have a movable-side retained portion including a contact portion secured in place by unitary molding in a movable-side retaining portion of the movable housing, a stationary-side retained portion secured in place by unitary molding at a location proximate the connecting portion of the terminals in a stationary-side retaining portion of the stationary housing, and a resiliently displaceable resilient portion coupling the movable-side retained portion to the stationary-side retained portion. The resilient portion has a curved apex portion constituting the upper end of the resilient portion outwardly of the movable-side retained portion in the connector-width direction, and lateral open spaces, which are open in the connector-width direction, are formed in a range including at least the apex portion below the above-mentioned movable-side retaining portion positioned above the apex portion.

Cable connector and connector assembly

A cable connector and a connector assembly including the cable connector are provided. The cable connector includes a plastic main body, a contact body and a cable. A cavity is formed in the plastic main body. The contact body is fixed on the plastic main body and extends into the cavity. The cable is fixed on the plastic main body. One end of the cable is inserted into the plastic main body and is electrically connected to the contact body in the cavity, and an electrically connected portion is exposed in the cavity. The electrically connected portion between the cable and the contact body is exposed in the cavity, so that a clearance is formed at the welding spots between the cable and the contact body and is not injection-moulded by the internal mould, which reduces the attenuation of the cable and greatly improves the signal integrity of the product.
