Cable connector comprising a soft body with a hard casing to resist deformation

A cable connector includes a soft body. The soft body has at least one connecting portion. An outer wall surface of the connecting portion is provided with a hard casing. The soft body is made of a soft material, such as rubber and silicone rubber. The hard casing is made of a hard material, such as plastic, and has higher rigidity than the soft body. When a bushing of a cable is inserted into the connecting groove of the connecting portion, the hard casing is configured to resist deformation, so that the connecting portion will not be deformed by insertion of the bushing, thereby improving the electrical connection between the cable connector and the bushing.

Connector structure and housing

A connector structure includes a female housing and a male housing. The female housing includes a first holding portion holding first female terminals for power supply, a second holding portion adjacent to the first holding portion, formed as one unitary piece with the first holding portion, and holding second female terminals for communication, and a conductive shield layer separating the first holding portion from the second holding portion. The male housing includes a recessed portion configured to fit with the female housing, and holding first male terminals to be connected with the first female terminals and second male terminals to be connected with the second female terminals.

The heat dissipating member has a thermal coupling portion formed downwardly, the lever member is pivoted to the guide shielding cage, the lever member has a pushed end and a pressure applying end, the supporting elastic member upwardly and elastically supports the heat dissipating member. The heat dissipating member is capable of moving between a releasing position which is higher relative to the insertion space and an acting position which is lower relative to the insertion space and where the thermal coupling portion enters into the insertion space.

Connector

A connector includes a back housing, a front shell having a barrel portion and a grounding portion continuous with a rear portion of the barrel portion, and a cover shell. The cover shell has a contacting portion contacting a rear end upper portion of the front shell, a catching portion catching on the grounding portion, and a spring portion elastically deformed by catching of the catching portion. The elastic deformation of the spring portion causes the cover shell to contact the back housing while pressing the back housing frontward, and to contact the front shell while pressing the rear end upper portion of the front shell upward at the contacting portion.

The sealing member may comprise a base and a sidewall configured to wrap around an outer border of the adapter. The sealing member may be configured to form a first sealing interface with the panel, and a second sealing interface with the plug connector. The first and second sealing interfaces may be orthogonal to each other. The sealing member may be made of an elastic material.
