The seal spring of the present invention has a dual functionality. The seal spring provides both a sealing property and spring function in use within an electrical connector system, which is accomplished by its elastomeric qualities The seal spring is preferably comprised of Silicone, EPDM rubber or materials and compositions that provide similar performance during use, or the like. The seal spring of the present invention is not limited or defined into a spring section or a seal section by its geometry. Shown is an implementation of the seal spring within a conductive female housing and connector assembly. The seal spring compresses and provides adequate spring force against a disk ferrule assembly, pressing the disk ferrule assembly, with a wire shield, against a conductive female outer housing, providing a grounding scheme for the connector assembly. The seal spring also seals against the female outer housing and a wire.

The metal shell is disposed outside the insulating body and surrounds the insulating body and the terminals. The collar is sleeved onto an outer wall of the metal shell. The collar has a first plate portion, a second plate portion, and a bending portion. The bending portion is connected between the first plate portion and the second plate portion. The first plate portion is connected to the outer wall of the metal shell, and the second plate portion is away from the outer wall of the metal shell. The water-proof glue is disposed between the second plate portion of the collar and the bending portion and the outer wall of the metal shell.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR

An electrical connector including a plurality of terminals, a first insulating body, a second insulating body, a shell, and a waterproof member is provided. The terminals are respectively retained in the first insulating body and the second insulating body. The shell is sheathed to the first insulating body and the second insulating body. The shell has a front edge and a rear edge opposite to each other along an insertion direction. The front edge is used for mating another electrical connector. At least one opening is formed by the rear edge and the second insulating body. The first insulating body and the second insulating body are separated from each other. A space is formed by the first insulating body, the second insulating body, and the shell. The space is communicated with an external environment via the at least one opening. The waterproof member is filled into the space.

Electrical terminal and connector assembly

In some embodiments, an electrical terminal includes a contact formed and a hood surrounding the contact. The contact and hood have cooperating retention features for securing the contact to the hood, and the hood provides strengthening features for improving the mechanical properties of the contact. The electrical terminal is mounted in a connector assembly. The electrical terminal has features which prevent or minimize damage to a seal of the connector assembly.

Electrical connection device

An electrical connection device (1). The electrical connection device comprises a vehicle side electrical connector (3) comprising a first mounting seat (31), a first high-voltage assembly (32) and a first low-voltage assembly (33); and a battery side electrical connector (5) comprising a second mounting seat (50), a second high-voltage assembly (51) and a second low-voltage assembly (52). The first high-voltage assembly and the second high-voltage assembly are in a separable floating electrical connection. By means of the electrical connection device, the first high-voltage assembly and the second high-voltage assembly can be prevented from hard damage, the stability of the electrical contact between the first high-voltage assembly and the second high-voltage assembly can be ensured, thereby ensuring the reliability of the electrical connections of the two parties, and improving the waterproof performance of the vehicle side electrical connector and the battery side electrical connector.

Connector assembly with sealed symmetrical split lever

The present disclosure provides a connector assembly. The connector assembly includes a connector housing adapted to engage with a corresponding counter-connector housing. A lever including a first lever arm and a second lever arm is pivotably and sealingly mounted to the connector housing. Each lever arm includes interlocking means for connecting the first lever arm to the second lever arm at a first location. The interlocking means of each of the first lever arm and the second lever arm are configured to define complementary symmetrical surfaces that interlock with one another when the lever arms are pivotably mounted to the connector housing. On mounting the lever arms to the connector housing, the lever is configured to move about the connector housing between an open state and a closed state to secure the counter-connector housing to the connector housing.
