A seal member that includes an insertion hole into which a connector terminal is insertable, wherein, when a direction in which the connector terminal is to be inserted into the insertion hole is defined as an insertion axis: an inner diameter of a cross-section of the insertion hole orthogonal to the insertion axis at a position at which the inner diameter is the smallest is denoted as a minimum hole diameter D, an outer length of a cross-section of the connector terminal orthogonal to the insertion axis at a position at which the outer length is the largest is denoted as a maximum terminal outer length L, and the minimum hole diameter D and the maximum terminal outer length L satisfy a relationship 2.1≤L/D≤4.2.

A joint joins an alloy member to a ceramic member via a glass joining agent, which is joined to the alloy member by a material bonded joint and to the ceramic member by a further material bonded joint. The glass joining agent is made of a glass having a melting point below 800° C.; a coefficient of thermal expansion of at least 9-10.sup.−6 K.sup.−1 and a bismuth content of at least 10%. The alloy member has a coefficient of thermal expansion of at least 9-10.sup.−6 K.sup.−1. The ceramic member has a maximum coefficient of thermal expansion of 8-10.sup.−6 K.sup.−1. The material bonded joint defines a mixing region that is a partial region of the ceramic member, and the bismuth content in the mixing region is higher than that of the ceramic member outside the mixing region.

At least a portion of the closed cavity can be configured to be movable with respect to another portion of the closed cavity to permit balancing of pressure of the deformable material within the closed cavity to pressure outside of the closed cavity.

The hermetic terminal includes a metal base that is provided with at least one sealing hole, a lead that is inserted in the sealing hole provided on the metal base, an insulating material that hermetically seals the metal base and the lead, and a heat insulating member that is provided to cover at least a partial surface of the hermetic terminal which is located inside a pressure-resistant container after the hermetic terminal is fixed to the pressure-resistant container and comes into contact with refrigerant sealed in the pressure-resistant container.

The division plate is formed in the tube portion for dividing the chamber of the tube portion into a first space and a second space. The connecting portion is formed on the tube portion. The cover is formed by an overmolding process, is connected to the two terminals and fills the second spaces of the two terminals. Water vapor can be stopped by the division plate for improving the waterproof effect of the plug.
