CONNECTOR
In a relay connector, a male terminal is formed in a rod-like shape, inserted into a through hole penetrating a male terminal housing chamber, extends inside a cylinder part, and has a first contact part. A protective plate includes a body part that partitions an internal space defined by the cylinder part and the male terminal housing chamber into a first space portion located on the first contact part side of the male terminal and a second space portion located on the male terminal housing chamber side of the male terminal, a terminal hole that is formed in the body part, and configured to receive the male terminal thereinto, and a filling port that is formed in the body part, and communicably connects the first space portion and the second space portion to each other. The second space portion is filled with a potting filling part.
WATERPROOF CONNECTOR
A waterproof connector (1) includes an accommodation recess (31) formed in a wire draw-out surface (26) of a housing (10) and configured to accommodate a ventilation film (63). A wire cover (50) is mounted on the housing (10) to cover the wire draw-out surface (26) and the accommodation recess (31). A wire bending space (54) inside the wire cover (50) is configured to bend wires (15) drawn out from the wire draw-out surface (26). A partition (56) is formed in the wire cover (50) and partitions between the accommodation recess (31) and the wire bending space (54) by contacting the wire draw-out surface (26) to cover an opening of the accommodation recess (31). Drainage portions (37, 38, 39, 40) are formed in a contact area between the wire draw-out surface (26) and the partition (56) and has a convexo-concave or stepped cross-sectional shape.
Waterproof electrical connector having insulative shell interfering with meitallic shell
An electrical connector includes an insulative housing, a metallic shielding shell enclosing the housing, and an insulative shell enclosing the metallic shielding shell. The metallic shielding shell forms a first mating cavity. The insulative shell includes a round rib protruding from an inner sidewall of the insulative shell. The round rib and the metallic shielding shell interfere with each other.
Connector having a drainage port
A connector (10) is provided with a waiting side housing (11) including a forwardly open receptacle (13) and is mounted in a mounting hole (H) of a panel (P). A fit-in side housing (30) includes a terminal accommodating portion (31) that can fit into the receptacle (13). Drainage ports (21) are formed in a lower wall (16) of the receptacle (13), and water guides (22) project into opening areas of the drainage ports (21) only from parts of opening edges of the drainage ports (21). Upper surfaces of the water guides (22) define water guiding surfaces (23) connected to an upper surface (16S) of the lower wall (16).
Electrical plug type connector and plug type connector system for an electric or hybrid vehicle
An electrical plug type connector is disclosed. The electrical plug type connector has an electrically insulating housing, a plurality of first contact chambers disposed in the housing, a plurality of power contact elements which are each received in one of the plurality of first contact chambers, and a plurality of separate drainage channels integrally formed in the housing. Each drainage channel is fluidly connected to one of the plurality of first contact chambers.
Connector having a housing with a drainage hole leading to an outside of the connector
In a connector which accommodates female terminals in a plurality of female terminal accommodating chambers arranged side by side in a connector housing, each of the plurality of female terminal accommodating chambers in the connector housing has a protruding enclosure wall provided in such a way that walls enclosing the outer periphery of each female terminal protrude towards a direction of connector engagement with a connection mating connector accommodating male terminals which connect to each of the female terminals. Further, an inter-terminal through hole which penetrates through the inside of the connector housing and connects to the outside of the connector housing is formed in a wall coupling base ends of the protruding enclosure walls of at least one group of adjacent female terminal accommodating chambers.
Sealed accessories for electronic devices
Accessories for an electronic device are sealed and include a connector having a deformable seal positioned on it such that when the connector is mated to the electronic device a liquid-tight seal is formed between the accessory and the electronic device. The accessories have functions that are useful in moist, wet and/or dirty environments.
Drainage structure for electrical connection box
Provided is a drainage structure for an electrical connection box capable of preventing an internal circuit board from getting wet even if water has entered. An electrical connection box main body is mounted on a vehicle wherein a main body-side connector is located on an upper side and protrudes from an opening in a horizontal direction, and a protruding end portion of a housing peripheral wall of a lateral electrical component attaching portion protrudes to the outside from a lateral window, the lateral electrical component attaching portion protrudes laterally from on a side edge portion of a circuit board. A first drainage channel is provided inside the electrical connection box main body, and a second drainage channel extends downward and having an upper end portion connected to the first drainage channel in the protruding end portion of the housing peripheral wall of the lateral electrical component attaching portion.
Electronic device with an irregular port to expel liquid
An electronic device with a port is disclosed. To expel liquid in the port, the port includes modifications to form a capillary pressure gradient with the liquid, causing uneven capillary forces to act on the liquid in the port. For example, the port may include an asymmetric profile with one section having a curved profile and another section having one or more linear profiles that join at an edge. The edge may form a relative higher curved surface as compared to the curved profile. As a result, the capillary pressure gradient may exert a higher capillary pressure in a location associated with the edge, as compared to a capillary pressure along the curved profile. The capillary pressure gradient causes ambient air into the port along the edge, and separates the liquid from the edge, allowing gravity to overcome atmospheric pressure and causing removal of the liquid from the port.
