Electrical connection box and wire harness

An electrical connection box applied to a wire harness includes a casing that includes an accommodating space that is formed therein and that accommodates an electronic component, and a guiding space that is partitioned horizontally lateral to the accommodating space therein via a partition wall, and that extends in a vertical direction and guides water entered therein to a vertically downside. The casing includes a water-preventing rib that is provided in the guiding space, and that guides water guided to the vertically downside in the guiding space, in a direction of avoiding from an avoidance target portion that is positioned vertically below the guiding space.

Water-resistant electronic component

A water-resistant electronic component including a body, a protectable part, a sealing sheet, and a cover. The body includes a water-resisting wall of loop shape. The water-resisting wall extends in a first direction. The protectable part includes at least part of a functional part of the water-resistant electronic component and is located within the water-resisting wall of the body. The sealing sheet includes a perimeter portion. The sealing sheet covers the protectable part from one side in the first direction, with the perimeter portion abutting the water-resisting wall from the one side in the first direction. The cover is fixed to the body such as to cover the sealing sheet and the water-resisting wall from the one side in the first direction.

In a connector which accommodates female terminals in a plurality of female terminal accommodating chambers arranged side by side in a connector housing, each of the plurality of female terminal accommodating chambers in the connector housing has a protruding enclosure wall provided in such a way that walls enclosing the outer periphery of each female terminal protrude towards a direction of connector engagement with a connection mating connector accommodating male terminals which connect to each of the female terminals. Further, an inter-terminal through hole which penetrates through the inside of the connector housing and connects to the outside of the connector housing is formed in a wall coupling base ends of the protruding enclosure walls of at least one group of adjacent female terminal accommodating chambers.

A connector (10) is provided with a waiting side housing (11) including a forwardly open receptacle (13) and is mounted in a mounting hole (H) of a panel (P). A fit-in side housing (30) includes a terminal accommodating portion (31) that can fit into the receptacle (13). Drainage ports (21) are formed in a lower wall (16) of the receptacle (13), and water guides (22) project into opening areas of the drainage ports (21) only from parts of opening edges of the drainage ports (21). Upper surfaces of the water guides (22) define water guiding surfaces (23) connected to an upper surface (16S) of the lower wall (16).

An antenna connector has: a tubular case formed with a connector base on one end side in an axial direction and formed with a cylindrical external contact part on another end side in the axial direction; a shaft-shaped center contact part disposed on a center shaft of the external contact part; and tubular insulators disposed between the external contact part and the center contact part. A space is formed between the external contact part and the insulators. The external contact part is formed with a through-hole for draining water that establishes communication between the space and outside of the external contact part.

Automatic splice water drip nose cone

A device for preventing the intrusion of water or other liquids into the interior of an automatic splice. The device may be constructed in a single-piece or two-piece design and includes a series of fingers that contact the cable stranding and wick water away from the cable and out of the connector. These fingers could be integrally molded into the cable cone or molded as a separate piece and inserted. They could also be constructed of any typical brush material such as metal, plastic, rubber, or fiber. The fingers could be arranged in a variety of configurations.

Subsea connector

A subsea wet mateable connector includes a plug and a receptacle. The plug includes a plug body and a shuttle pin moveably mounted in a socket contact. The receptacle includes a receptacle body and a receptacle pin. The connector further including a secondary diaphragm mounted to the plug body and a primary diaphragm mounted to the plug body outside the secondary diaphragm. The primary diaphragm and secondary diaphragm are spaced from one another in a demated state, allowing fluid flow in the space formed therebetween. The primary diaphragm and secondary diaphragm are sealingly engaged in a mated state, forming a continuous protective layer over the receptacle pin in a mated state.

Wet mateable hybrid subsea connector

A subsea wet mateable connector plug part includes a plug body, a plurality of data conductor contacts arranged in the plug body and a plurality of power conductor contacts arranged in the plug body. The data conductor contacts include an even number of pairs of data conductor contacts, each pair being aligned orthogonally with respect to an adjacent pair of data conductor contacts. The pairs of data conductor contacts are so arranged as to form a data cluster. The data cluster includes an outer earth screen adapted to maintain an electrical contact with an earth screen of a cable. The power conductor contacts are spaced from one another in the plug body, outside of and remote from the outer earth screen of the data cluster.

Device connector

A device connector (10) is mounted into a mounting hole (C1) on a case (C) of a device in a vehicle, and includes terminals (50) connected to wires (W). A synthetic resin housing (30) includes a wire introducing portion (32) and a fitting portion (31). The wire introducing portion (32) receives the wires (W) and the terminals (50) while the fitting portion (31) fits into the mounting hole (C1). A metal shield shell (60) accommodates the wire introducing portion (32) and includes a lower shell (62) for covering the entire outer circumferential surface of the wire introducing portion (32). A seal ring (72) fits on an outer surface of the wire introducing portion (32) and seals between the lower shell (62) and the wire introducing portion (32). Water drainage holes (77) vertically penetrate a stepped portion (69) of the lower shell (62) above the seal ring (72).

SEALED ELECTRONIC CONNECTORS FOR ELECTRONIC DEVICES

A plug connector for an electronic device has a deformable seal positioned on it such that when the plug connector is mated to the electronic device a liquid-tight seal is formed between the plug connector and the electronic device. A seal may also be positioned within a receptacle connector cavity of the electronic device such that it forms a liquid-tight seal to a plug connector when the plug connector is mated to the electronic device.
