The cable comprises a conductive portion and an outer cover. The outer cover covers the conductive portion. The conductive member is attached with the cable. The conductive member has a first portion, a second portion and a planar portion. The first portion is positioned at the first location in the longitudinal direction. The first portion is crimped to the outer cover. The second portion is positioned at the second location in the longitudinal direction. The second portion is crimped to the conductive portion. The planar portion extends from the first location to the second location in the longitudinal direction.
TERMINAL FITTING, METHOD OF PRODUCING THE SAME, AND CONNECTOR
A terminal fitting 10 is provided with a body portion 11 having a tubular shape and extending in a front-rear direction. The body portion 11 includes an outer wall portion 17 arranged from one end toward another end in a width direction. The outer wall portion 17 includes a bent portion 43 curved on one end side in the width direction and having a curved outer side surface facing forward, a stabilizer 29 having a bent shape and projecting outward on another end side in the width direction, and cutout portions 37, 38 open in a front end of the outer wall portion 17 on both widthwise sides of the bent portion 43.
Connection structure, forming method of connection structure and cable of connection structure
A connection structure comprises a cable and a connection object. The cable includes two wires, two coverings and two coupling strips. The coverings cover the wires, respectively. Each of the coupling strips couples the two coverings to each other. The connection object comprises a base portion and a pressing member. The base portion has a catch portion and two side portions. The cable has a pressed section and a rear section located rearward of the pressing member in a front-rear direction (X-direction). The pressed section is sandwiched and pressed between the pressing member and the catch portion in an upper-lower direction (Z-direction) and is located between the two side portions in a lateral direction (Y-direction). In the lateral direction, a distance between the two wires of the pressed section is longer than another distance between the two wires of the rear section.
MULTIPLE-PIECE FEMALE ELECTRICAL TERMINAL
The female electrical terminal includes an attachment piece. The attachment piece has a terminal body that is located around a terminal axis and defines an interior space. The terminal body has one or more flanges located on opposed sides of the terminal axis. The terminal body also has one or more body stops located on opposed sides of the terminal axis. The female electrical terminal also includes a contact piece. The contact piece has a contact body located around the terminal axis. A plurality of contact arms extend from the contact body at least partially in the interior space. The contact body is located at least partially between the flanges and the terminal axis. The contact piece also includes contact stops engaged with the body stops.
Connector assembly for connecting multiple cables to electrical device
A connector is configured to mate with a second connector and a third connector. The connector includes a housing, terminals equipped in the housing that are configured to connect to third terminals provided in the third connector, and coupling terminals that can at least connect to a second terminal provided in the second connector. The terminals include an electric wire connecting part that is configured to connect to electric wires included in a cable connected to the housing and a contact part that is configured to make contact with the third terminals. The electric wire connecting part and contact part positions are offset with regard to a direction orthogonal to a mating direction.
High performance cable termination
A cable assembly comprising a termination with at least one conductive, compressible member and a conductive ground shield. The conductive, compressible member may be held within a connector module forming the termination such that the conductive compressive member is pressed against, and therefore makes electrical contact with, both an outer conductive layer of the cable and ground structures within the connector module. In some embodiments, these connections may be formed using a conductive, compressible member with an opening configured to receive the end of the cable therethrough. The conductive ground shield may be configured to compress the conductive, compressible member, and to cause the conductive, compressible member to electrically contact the cable's conductive layer. The conductive, compressible member may be formed from a compressible material and may comprise a plurality of conductive particulates configured to provide electrically conductive paths.
Connector that connects to electric wires and to other connectors
A connector that is configured to connect to a second connector and a third connector and provides a housing, terminals that are equipped in the housing, and coupling terminals that are equipped in the housing. The terminals are connected to electric wires contained in cables connected to the housing, the coupling terminals are configured to make contact with the second terminal provided in the second connector and the third terminal provided in the third connector while not making direct contact with the terminals, and that in plan view, the cables are obliquely connected to the housing.
Shielded telecommunications connector
A telecommunications connector includes a connector body and a shield attached to the connector body, the shield including a main body portion configured for attachment to the connector body and a barrel portion for crimping against a cable to be terminated to the connector. The barrel portion of the shield includes a corrugated side wall made up of a series of bends extending along a direction from the rear end of the barrel toward the front end of the barrel along at least a portion of a length of the barrel, wherein the bends defining the corrugated side wall are provided on the shield at a pre-crimped stage.
