Patch cords for reduced-pair ethernet applications having strain relief units that resist rotational loads and related strain relief units and connectors
Reduced-pair Ethernet patch cords include a twisted pair cable that has a pair of insulated conductors that are contained within a cable jacket. A connector is mounted on a first end of the cable. The connector includes a connector housing and a strain relief unit that is mounted on the cable at the interface between the cable and the connector housing. The strain relief unit includes a plurality of internal protrusions that contact the cable jacket.
Plug assemblies
Plug assemblies and related kits and techniques for using the same are disclosed herein. In one non-limiting aspect, a plug assembly protects an existing plug of a cord and facilitates replacement of a second plug that is engageable with the existing plug in the event the second plug is damaged. In one embodiment, an assembly includes a first plug member with male and female end portions, and a retaining element configured to engage with the first plug member and at least a portion of a cord that includes a second plug member configured to engage with the first plug member. When the retaining element is engaged with the first plug member, one of the female end portion and the male end portion of the first plug member is accessible for engagement with a third plug member. Additional and/or alternative embodiments, forms, features and aspects are disclosed herein.
Communication plug with improved cable manager
A communication plug is described. The communication plug has a communication cable with a plurality of conductors, a plug housing, and a cable manager partially enclosed within the plug housing. The cable manager has a load bar with a plurality of holes, a first cable management section connected to the load bar via a first hinge, and a second cable management section connected to the load bar via a second hinge. The first and second cable management sections are configured to fold together and partially enclose the cable before the cable manager is inserted into the plug housing.
Cable connector assembly having improved outer shell and lateral mating member
A cable connector assembly (100) includes a mating member (10) adapted to be mated with a mating connector, a cable (20) electrically connected with the mating member, a strain relief member (30) enclosing the cable, and an outer shell (40) assembled at outer sides of the mating member and the strain relief member. The outer shell includes a first shell (41) and a second shell (42) mated with the first shell. The strain relief member includes a mating portion (31) enclosed by the outer shell and a ring portion (32) connected with the mating portion. Both of the first shell and the second shell are latched with the mating portion.
Connector Unit
In a connector unit including a connector and a connector cover that fits on the connector, the connector includes a guide means that guides electric wires in one direction, while the connector cover includes a pressing means that presses on and deforms the guide means so as to restrict the movement of the electric wires that are guided by the guide means, whereby the electric wires that are pulled out of the connector are oriented in the one direction in which the electric wires are guided by the guide means.
STRAIN RELIEF ASSEMBLY FOR CONDUCTIVE CABLES
A strain relief assembly is provided for a bundle of cables surrounded by an electrically conductive sleeve. The strain relief assembly can include a ferrule and at least one retention member. The cables extend through the ferrule, and the sleeve extends over the ferrule, so as to be captured between the ferrule and the retention member.
SIGNAL CONNECTOR
A signal connector includes a main body and positioning device. The main body has a front section with an end connector and a rear formed by an accommodating groove with a threaded hole and insert hole. The positioning device is received into the accommodating groove of the main body, composed of a clamping piece and screwing elements. The clamping piece is at the bottom of the groove, with a threaded hole. The screwing element is inserted through the insert hole and secured in the threaded hole. After foresaid are combined, the conducting filament of a transmission line can be tightly clamped by the clamping piece by rotating the screwing element to move the clamping piece upward, ensuring enhanced signal transmission.
Coaxial cable connector having a body with an integral flexible pawl to capture a coaxial cable
A coaxial cable connector has a body and a longitudinal axis bounding an interior of the body. A pawl is carried in the interior of the body for engaging with a coaxial cable applied to the interior and for preventing the removal of the cable after having been applied to the interior. The pawl moves out of and into interference with the cable in response to the introduction of the cable into the interior and to the retraction of the cable along the longitudinal axis, respectively.
STRAIN RELIEF CONNECTOR ASSEMBLIES FOR ELECTRICAL WIRING
A strain relief connector assembly for flexible electrical wiring is provided that includes an adapter that is configured to form a sealed connection to the wiring and a connector and to form a connection with a strain relieving device, which can include an arc of bend control mesh.
Banana plug
A system for containing a strain relief, the system comprising an assembly housing, the assembly housing including: a first outer housing including a connector body; a second outer housing including a rear housing, wherein the first outer housing snaps into the second outer housing and creates a chain of contact points that connect components internal to the assembly housing and prevents internal components from rotating, wherein the assembly housing houses within a banana plug shaft, a strain relief and a solder junction, wherein the solder junction solders a first end of a conductor cable to the banana plug shaft, wherein the first end of the conductor cable is disposed within the assembly housing, and wherein via the chain of contact points, the banana plug shaft presses the strain relief into place and prevents movement of the strain relief and the solder junction.
