Card operated power plug interrupter/monitor and method of use
A device that is placed between the electrical power source and electrical equipment such that power going to the equipment can be controlled, regulated, and monitored. An individual may request access to use the electrical equipment by means of unique identification. The device is able to compare the user's request for authentication via a locally stored list (database) or remotely situated list. The device contains audio and visual indications of the current status of power going to the electrical device. An apparatus is used to prevent a user from disconnecting electrical equipment from the device and reconnecting it directly to the power source. A related method of use is also claimed.
Method for assembling and installing a portable power connector
A method for assembling and installing a power connector on a cable includes providing female and male connectors having a tapered insulator and a contact defining a set screw contact having at least one first radial aperture. A first set screw engages the at least one first radial aperture and a second set screw engages the at least one second radial aperture. Each of the first and second set screws define an outer surface and a bore extending at least partway therethrough. A first retaining screw engages the bore of the first set screw and corresponding aperture in the female connector. A second retaining screw engages the bore of the second set screw and corresponding aperture in the male connector.
Cable connector hand tools
An illustrative cable connector hand tool and associated methods are operable to permit cable connection sections to respectively pass through a side opening of hand tool members into a center aperture of the tool members. Exemplary hand tool members are formed with a recessed portion adapted to receive an end of one of a pair of cable connectors such that mating edges of the cable connectors used to couple the cable connection sections are visible when the cable connectors are in a coupled configuration abutting each other. An illustrative embodiment includes the recessed portion formed with a plurality of recesses spaced apart in the center aperture operable to engage protrusions on an outer wall of the cable connectors. Exemplary cable connectors engage each other with respective threaded connection sections to apply compressive or coupling force to two ends of the cable when the tools rotate the connectors.
Wind-Protection Casing and Plug-Connector Device Comprising Same
A wind-protection casing includes a plastic shell having a first partial shell and a second partial shell, wherein the first partial shell and the second partial shell surround an accommodating space and form a first and second line opening, which connect the accommodating space with the surrounding region outside the accommodating space. A retaining means is provided with an accommodating geometry for a line plug connector, which is arranged on the first partial shell and is designed in such a way that a line plug connector accommodated by the accommodating geometry is retained in the accommodating space at a distance from the first partial shell and the second partial shell via an air gap. A plug-connector device including such a wind-protection casing of this type is also provided, wherein a line plug connector is accommodated in the accommodating geometry.
Connector locking holder
A connector locking holder includes an electrical connector having a first connector body with a first electrical contact, and a second connector body with a second electrical contact. The first connector body is configured to be coupled to the second connector body to provide the connector in a connected state in which the first and second electrical contacts are electrically connected to each other. A holder is configured to secure the connector to an assembly which includes the connector. An attachment is configured to attach the connector to the holder only when the connector is in said connected state.
Locking Electrical Receptacle
A method and apparatus for securing an electrical connection formed by a mating structure including prongs of a male assembly and receptacles of a female assembly are provided. In certain embodiments, the electrical connection can be secured by frictional engagement between the plug and receptacle housings. This can be accomplished by forcing a wedge into an interface between the housings or expanding a locking element, such as an elastomeric ring, into the interface. Such locking and releasing of the secure connection can be actuated using a locking nut.
Connector
A connector is provided with a flexible wire, a terminal to be connected to the wire, and a housing for accommodating the wire and the terminal. The housing includes a housing body for accommodating the wire and a holder for accommodating and holding the terminal. The holder is configured to be swingable in a plane direction together with the terminal with respect to the housing body by being attached to the housing body with a play between the housing body and the holder. The wire extends to the outside of the housing body in an extending direction intersecting a Z-axis direction and is slidable in the extending direction with respect to the housing body, following a swinging motion of the terminal. A gap for allowing the wire to be bent, following a swinging motion of the terminal, is provided between the housing body and the wire.
System, apparatus and method for eye protection
A safety system includes safety glasses and an apparatus. The safety glasses include an electronic system having a sensor configured to detect when the safety glasses are worn by a user and a wireless communication device. The apparatus includes a body housing an electrical isolation device and a wireless communication device. The body includes a first end defining a female electrical socket, a second end defining a male electrical plug and a fastening device coupled to the body and configured to move from an open position to a closed position in which an electrical cord that is electrically coupled to the body at one of the first end or the second end is also physically secured to the body by the fastening device. The electrical isolation device is configured to prevent current flow in the line conductor included in the body when the safety glasses are not being worn by the user.
CABLE CLAMP FOR A CHARGING CABLE OF AN ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING STATION
A cable clamp for a charging cable of an electric vehicle charging station. The cable clamp includes a first clamping piece and a second clamping piece that is complementary to the first clamping piece. The first clamping piece and the second clamping piece are adapted to be secured together and adapted to grip the charging cable of the electric vehicle charging station that passes through the first clamping piece and the second clamping piece. The shape of the first clamping piece and the second clamping piece includes a curved portion that forces the charging cable of the electric vehicle charging station to exit the electric vehicle charging station at a predetermined exit angle.
Secure electrical conductor connector
An improved secure electrical conductor providing a male and female connector forming a secure seal when the connectors and pins are joined having at least one radial rounded expansion secured within at least one radial rounded groove, the connectors forming a respective resilient shield body sharing a common bore wherein a distinctly color contrasting secure indicator pin is forcefully inserted providing a visual indication of the integrity of the connection between the connectors with the pin providing at least two expanded radial margins to prevent unintentional removal from the common bore, but removable by force during disconnection of the connectors.
