An extension cord system includes an electronic device that may store audio data. A case is provided and the electronic device is removably positioned therein. A pair of headphones is provided. The headphones are selectively electrically coupled to the electronic device. An extension cord is selectively electrically coupled between the electronic device and the pair of headphones. The extension cord engages the case when the extension cord is electrically coupled to the electronic device. Thus, the extension cord is inhibited from being unplugged from the electronic device.

An electric vehicle (EV) charger plug adapter apparatus includes an adapter housing, a socket extending into a first side of the adapter housing, the socket configuration defined by a first technical standard for use with at least one of a first current or voltage rating, a plug extending from a second side of the adapter housing, the plug configuration defined by a second technical standard for use with at least one of a second current or voltage rating, and a key extending from the first side of the adapter housing, wherein the key prevents seating of a second plug into the socket if the second plug does not have a complementary key socket to fit the key.

A method for harvesting an energy from a power cord is disclosed. The method includes mounting two electrodes around the power cord. The electrodes have a first conductive part being partially cylindrical around an axis, and a plurality of spikes, originating from the first conductive part, directed towards the axis, and inserted in an insulating envelope of the power cord, so as to increase the capacitive coupling to the wires inside the power cord and to increase the amount of harvested energy by the two electrodes. A device such as for example a wireless RFID tag is advantageously powered by the energy harvested by the two electrodes.

An electrical connection covering apparatus is designed to protect from moisture a connection between a plug of one extension cord and a socket of another extension cord. A compressible and elastic diaphragm is used to form a seal around the cables of the extension cords where they enter the apparatus. The apparatus includes a housing that has at least one aperture. The diaphragm extends across the aperture. The diaphragm projects inwardly with respect to an interior surface of the housing. The compressibility and elasticity of the diaphragm material is greater than that of the housing material.

An electrical plug connector for a vehicle comprises a plug with a plug casing in which a contact chamber is formed, an electrical contact part arranged in the contact chamber, a locking bolt for releasably attaching a plug-in contact to the contact part, and a socket to be plugged with the plug, a socket casing and a plug-in contact attached thereto. The electrical isolation device is configured to prevent current flow in the line conductor included in the body when the safety glasses are not being worn by the user.
